So DW and I were enjoying brunch today, daydreaming about when we might next be free and able to go to Disney World with the kids. Having been 5 times in 5 years, we know we love WDW. We brainstorm and compare calendars a bit and decide that the best time for our family to go is NEXT WEEK. We'll leave on Friday 4/29 and return the following Tuesday, being safely back home by the time the HCOE hoopla gets going.

One cool thing we are doing this time is surprising the kids (8 and 5). We'll pick up DD8 at school next Friday with the car already packed and tell her we are going on a "mystery adventure". I can't wait to see the look on her face when we tell her we are driving to WDW. Pretty sure we can keep the secret from DS5 for a week too.

We'll only have three days in the parks, but -hey -it's Disney World  . What a thrill I am feeling right now knowing that we have started a countdown of only seven days.

If you were in my shoes -3 days; no hopping -what would you do? MGM; Epcot; MK? I don't know if one day in the MK will be enough for us; it is by far our favorite park.

I love short trips w/ short notices. My family is notorious for them. We too are trying to plan or spring trip-- did I mention I have no clue where to but we're leaving on May 4th (just under 2 weeks and I still have about 7 different destinations in mind).

Anyhow, since it's a short trip I'd concentrate on what you really want to do. Since your limited in time, I wouldn't try to fit all the parks in. I would possibly do 3 spearate parks. Or spend 2 days at MK then do a 3rd day at another park. This way you really get to do what your family likes the most.

BTW, HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!

MK; MGM; MK. Unless your little ones really like EPCOT or AK, stick to two parks; you don't want to spread yourselves too thin.
