My friends and I have started taking ballroom dance lessons on Wed nights. We started with the Swing and are now doing the Cha Cha. Our DH's seem very busy on Wed evenings lately. I wonder why? LOL;) Since we are manless we are very popular with the gentlemen. We are asked to dance ALL the time. We feel like the belles of the ball:bounce: Too bad the men are all 70 and older LOL:)

That is something the Mrs and I would like to try but there is not enough ballroom by me :(

that brought back some old memories...I wish I knew someone that would want to swing with me too.....that would be a blast....
hubby does not like to dance....hahaha

Ballroom dancing is so much fun! I took lessons with Dh through our leisure services . So far we've taken Latin (my favorite), ballroom, swing, and tango. You can know just a couple moves, and people are impressed;) Have fun!

hee hee Jana. And I am sure  you hate all the attention.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

Three, Four Cha cha cha

Same boat as the others...DH won't dance.

Our excuse... we're in the band.:p :p

I love to watch ballroom dancing.

After years of begging (okay, whining too) I finally convinced dh to take ballroom dancing lessons with me 4 years ago. Some friends were taking the class also so he agreed albeit reluctantly. He had never actually done any dancing (we didn't have dancing at our wedding due to space constraints) and was very nervous and uncomfortable about it.

Well, after only a couple of lessons he really began to enjoy it. We ended up taking for over 2 years until right before our dd was born and took a few classes after her birth. We really really enjoyed our weekend classes together - it was always a fun "just for us" activity. Once our finances get better, we'll be taking again!!

So, to those women whose husbands "don't dance" just try to talk them into a couple of classes and maybe you'll get lucky like I did :)

DH and I actually did try to learn how to dance many years ago. After a few weeks of stomping on each others feet, we mutually agreed to be spectators and since then we've happily not danced with each other! ;)

However, good for those of you who can master the steps. :D

Several years ago I took swing lessons at our American Legion Hall. It was alot of fun. It would be nice if SO was interested.

I would love to do that, but my DH would rather die thqan dance. When I went to DIS Con last year, it was the first time I had danced in over 20 years...sad isn't it :(

Hope you are having a great time!!

Since it is fishing season my DH has not come with us yet but I think I will be able to convince him in the colder months ( If the Bruins or the Pats aren't on;) )

It is fun to learn new things and we are learning the steps. The gentlemen seem to enjoy teaching us and they are loving telling us about themselves:) It is actually a really fun evening.
