One TS for Saturday Night

We have a four day trip planned in May. We plan to eat CS meals, but I'm beginning to think that we should have an ADR for Saturday night. I'm worried that we won't be able to find anything to eat without an ADR on a Saturday night in May. I can't decide where to go. We will be in AK that day and I don't think I'm going to get park-hoppers, so we have to eat dinner in AK or a resort (or DTD). We have to end up at our resort, CSR.

We are a family of four with two teens. We are not interested in character dining. One of my teens is fairly picky, so I have to avoid anything ethnic that does not have some mainstream choices (steak/burger, chicken, pasta). I'm tempted by Boma (we liked it for breakfast) but not sure if there are enough "plain" foods for my picky eater. Italian is usually safe.

I'm also a bit concerned that it might be too late to get any ADRs for May. Any advice?

At Animal Kingdom, Rain Forest cafe would have the options you are looking for.

For this you'd have to bus over to the front of DHS and then take the boat over to the Swan/Dolphin, so not sure you'd want to do this....

But, if you are not on the dining plan, the Garden Grove at the Swan has a Saturday night seafood buffet. They include prime rib, mashed potatoes, chicken, or have some great seafood selections, being a seafood buffet and all. :)

I've done it a couple of times. There are characters but the times I've been there it wasn't over the top or full of kids, either. (those were fall visits.) it may also get less action because it's not on the dining plan.

Trying to do a link to the restaurant on the official Disney site, I like the atmosphere in there.

If I'm thinking correctly, after dinner you could boat back to DHS and grab the bus back to your resort. Plus, if you have extra time on your hands, you could boat over to the Boardwalk and have a blast, too.
