I found this on another discussion board. Topic is totally unrelated to this board and I took it out of the following copied from their site:
Do not start cliquey "buddy" threads.
Do not start "buddy" threads. Instead, post to each other one on one, and stay on topic. Everyone here is *****. Asking for buddies is not needed.
If you want to use the board, you need to discern what is chattiness and visiting, and what is actually pertinent to *******.
We want you to use the website how it is intended. It is not for replacing or creating personal relationships:
Stick to "need to know" information. Then you won't get chatty and off-topic, then you won't start thinking you need to be or are personal off-board friends, then you won't start trying to find ways to get off-board contact info, and you won't need to fear getting banned.
Do not create cliquey "buddy" threads.

I don't think I could ever NOT be chatty and off topic!
