One parent takes the kids to Disney..Have you done that?

I find myself in a similar situation: I invited DD and her family to go with us the next time we went to WDW but was having trouble coordinating the time for everyone to take off work. Now, within the last few days, DH says he doesn't want to go so he doesn't care when the rest of us go and I can't get DD to commit! DSs want to go during SWW but don't want to miss any school so that would make it the weekend of June 10....

So, now, DH does not want to go and there would be more of us in this group than I have ever planned before + 14yo DS, 18yo DS, and 5yo DGS! I am excited AND overwhelmed!! I will have to look at renting points to stay on-property and I don't know anything about that!!!

You can stay all 5 of you at POR! Have a great trip!

I WISH my DH would "let" me go to WDW w/o him! We have a trip planned for late July, and I'd love to go a little earlier--but DH has a conference and wouldn't be able to go. I say, "Why should the kids and I be stuck home waiting for you to finish the conference? We could go to WDW earlier, and you could join us." He said, "Well, you don't have to be 'stuck home.' You could go to Chuck E. Cheese's or something."
Yeah, C. E. C.'s is a great substitute for WDW!

So I say, You go, girl! You will have a blast. Remember, no place is as kid/family friendly as WDW. Have a great trip!
