If you had one nt in WDW before your big DVC villa vacation began, where would you choose to spend it? (Mind you -- someone else is paying the tab, it's a Sat. night, but you like this person so you don't wanna soak 'em! There are 4 adults and 4 kids in the party and your DVC reservation is for BWV.)

Interested in specifically what WDW resort you would go to with a group that size. (Group dynamics are split as 2 adults 3 kids, 2 adults 1 kid -- all kids under 10yrs).

So... go where and why??

THANKS!

I would go to the Poly, and get connecting rooms. Yes, it's more expensive than some, but some of the longhouses (I think that's what they call them) have rooms that are larger than normal.

I chose AKL, because it is almost like a theme park in itself! We did that last year, and loved it.

CK1,
Does it have to be WDW? Had you considered going to Unversal at all during this visit? How about a couple rooms at Portofino Bay Hotel (using the entertainment rate) over at Universal? The rooms over there are fabulous and it would entitle everyone to front of the line access (with your paid admission) to Universal for 2 days! We have done this a couple of times. We don't really like two check ins--but the FOTL access is really nice.

We are doing something like this next month. We are staying one night at AKL before moving to OKW for the rest of our stay.

We are almost as excited about staying at AKL as we are about the whole trip. My girls love animals, and we got a Savannah view. We are eating at Jiko for dinner, and I hope to have time for the girls to swim in the pool before dinner (since this is a pool we can't pool hop to at another time). We want to go to the story teller's session around the fire pit (anyone know when that is?).

To us, AKL is like an adventure all until itself!

I would consider rooms at the CR - some (all?) have room for 5 people.....

Walk to the MK the next morning (Sunday which is an EE day there) and have your luggage transferred to BWV

Thanks
