One Night At ASM After MNSSHP???

Hi all!

We are going to MNSSHP on Friday 22nd October. We are non-drivers, staying on I-Drive and plan to be there till the very end!!

We will obviously have to book a taxi back to I-Drive after midnight, which we estimate to be around $30.

I've just had a little surf and we could get a night at ASM for $83.

We can check in at 3pm, get the kids changed into their outfits and get to the party for 4pm (I have read somewhere that you can get in around this time!!). We can stay till the end and catch the bus back to ASM.

We have Sat 23rd Oct as a "free day" anyway, and were thinking of doing DTD and TL. We could get to these places easily from ASM. Check out is 11am, so we get a lay-in after the party, check out and catch a bus direct to TL!!

It seems worth it to me - what do you lot think??!! Havent actually mentioned this to H2B yet!!! I need the support of you lot first!!

Seriously though, is this worth it? Or do you think it would be easy to catch a taxi at midnight at MK? And head back to WDW the following day?

Please - all thoughts greatly appreciated!!!

I have to admit - Ive read loads of threads saying "the codes are out" but to be honest I havent had a clue what they are talking about!!!

I'd love to book it - as a surprise to the kids too!!

4 weeks till I go and get married out there - and I've gone and broke my toe!!! I cant fit my feet into my wedding shoes - bit like Drusella and Anastacia!!!! I WILL GO TO THE BALL!!!!!!!!

So this booking will DEFINITELY cheer me up!!!

What a brilliant idea. We are also going to MNSSHP on that night and it sounds great. I don't know if I would get DH to agree to this though as we are already staying at a hotel at Clearwater during our holiday and I don't think he would agree to paying for yet another night when we have paid for our accommodation as well.

$55 does sound good though. I might give it a try!

Thank you Karen for your help but we cant get it for $55, as this is for Value Season only and we are going in Regular.

But the quotes for regular season of $74 are worth going for - apparently though 13% in tax is added for the ASM resorts.

We are going for it!!!

H2B agreed straightaway - as long as I promised not to tell the kids and keep it as a surprise!!

We plan on getting there for 3ish, let the kids play in the hotel pool for an hour or so, then at half four-ish jump on the bus to the MK!!

Great plan!

Although your room might not be ready before 3pm (but it's always worth asking ), you can arrive at the hotel earlier and spend some time looking around / having something to eat / etc. You can get all the checking-in formalities completed when you arrive, and front desk will give you a number to call to find out your room number when it is ready.

Thanks for the advice on getting there early, Hilary. We'll probably go at about 1pm, have a look round, let the kids have a swim, then eat before heading direct to MK for MNSSHP!!

So excited now - not telling the kids!! Everytime they watch the WDW Planning Video they say "couldnt we stay there mum?"!!!

It just makes the whole thing easier - leaving the party at midnight and catching a bus direct from MK to ASM!!!
