Does anyone know where I can get samples of general/non-specific cover letters?My husband is experiencing the results of company mergers (didn't want to move to Omaha, Nebraska) and celebrated his last day of work on Friday. He wants to send his resume out but is having a difficult time finding cover letters that are not directed towards a specific job.

monster.com has a great resource section that has several good sample cover letters, and tips on writing them. i used one very similar to their samples when i was having difficulty in my last job search and i definately got more call backs using one modeled after one of theirs.
