One Man's Trash...

Does anybody else watch The Junk Brothers on HGTV? They take something people have put out for trash pickup, transform it into something artistic or useful, and return it to the original owners surreptitiously, by leaving it in their yard, knocking on the door, and taking off in their truck. :goodvibes

It's a really fun show!

I had somebody INSIST I take a children's book for FREE once at a church rummage sale. She clearly felt sorry for DH and I, who had rolled out of bed early to go yard-saling, and presumably looked a little rednecky.....:rotfl:

I have to admit, since that incident, that I dress up a little more when I go yardsaling. :lmao:

People are always trying to give my son things free at yard sales. I thought it was because he was charming them, are you telling me it is because of the way he dresses? :lmao: Seriously, I think there are a lot of people that like to do something nice for a kid, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have wondered sometimes what the heck someone is going to do with stuff they BUY at yardsales (not putting down yardsales, I shop them often), I would have had the same reaction as the OP about wondering why they wanted this junk from the dumpster. I never really thought about people selling stuff for scrap or refurbishing the furniture.
