One last detail to work out

Ok, so DSis, DBIL and DNieces have their park tickets and airline reservations for our October trip. So do we. I've reserved Disney's Magical Express for both their arrival and ours (me, DH, DS and DD). I've submitted an order with Garden Grocer and I've pre-ordered our Photopass CD (Sis and I are going to split the cost and just order a second copy -- it still works out cheaper this way). I've made all the ADRs. All that's left now is checking in.

So, if I've got this right, we cannot add a credit card to our (DH's and my) room keys separately from my sister and her DH. Is that right? Can I still use the online check-in then or should we wait until we get down there? I usually like having everything on the room key, including our park pass and credit card but I don't want DSis and BIL to have their charges on our credit card.

DSis and her family are flying down from Michigan a couple of hours earlier than our flight from Chicago, so she'll be the first to arrive and check-in. I'd like to make the process as smooth as possible for them since it's their first trip to WDW. Is there anything I should make my sister aware of as they check in? I've already set up the GardenGrocer order to be delivered slightly earlier than they arrive, so I've told my sister she should just let them know at the front desk that we have a grocery order so it can be delivered to our villa. Anything else?

Just don't let them have charging privileges on there room keys...

You cannot put more than one charge card on your account but you can determine who gets charging privileges. Since you don't want your sister's family's charges on your account I would just have their KTTW cards made inactive for charging. Since your sister is the one checking in you'll have to have her take care of this. You can either check in online and then have her get the front desk to re-issue her cards or she can check in at the resort and take care of it at that time.

Your other option is to have no charging privileges for anyone in your group. In that case you would just use your own credit card/cash for any purchases.

In your case, since you are not going to be the one actually checking in, I'd probably not use the credit card on the KTTW this trip. It really isn't that difficult to just carry your credit card along with your KTTW. That way everyone can use their own card for charges, and you wont have the hassle of figuring out the bill at the end.

Frankly, we prefer NOT to have charging on ou KTTW anyway. It is the one area that can get truly messed up with Disney. At least when we use our own card, we KNOW where we have used it and there's no "pre-charged" amount put on the card that often has to be credited. It's just simpler that way.
