one hour shopping pass

I want to know if WDW is still doing this. The scenario - you purchase a one day ticket at the ticket booth, and if you return within one hour you will be refunded the cost of the ticket. I have done this before, but it was at least half a decade ago. With all the changes that have happened since that time I am not sure if this is still allowed by Disney.

I will be in the central Florida area next week and there is a specific item in Epcot I would like to be able to purchase. If I could go in, purchase it and leave that would be great. However, if it costs $100 just to get in to do it - well, it ain't gonna happen ;).

So - anyone tried this in the recent past?

I believe that WDW discontinued the shopping pass many years ago.

You could contact WDW mail order to see if your item is available through them.
Telephone: 877-560-6477
Email: Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com

Is the item only located at Epcot or could you get it at Downtown Disney? Could you call Disney directly and have them ship it to you? Or have them delivery it to one of the hotels on property?

We purchase 3 matching necklaces from Animal Kingdom in April...one of them lost a charm so I called and they took a detailed description of the necklace and mailed me one.

Unfortunately the particular item we want is a liquor sold in the Italy pavilion - Villa Marzia Limoncello. We were not able to find it outside of WDW property last time we were there, cannot find it locally, and due to liquor laws cannot be shipped to my state.

I have no problem paying the price charged in the Italy location for this - but the admission cost on top of that would be too much. It may simply have to wait for a future trip.

I would ask your local liquor store if they could check with their distributor to see if they could get it for you. It maybe they just don't carry it because of lack of interest.

How many varieties of Limoncello do they sell in the Italian pavilion? I only saw one, and we didn't purchase it there because I had seen the exact same bottle in a few resort shops (Boardwalk and Contemporary).

1) I did a fast Google and found six on-line stores willing to sell and ship it.
2) Prices ranged $22-$27, plus shipping.
3) And, yes, Disney still does the shopping pass.
4) Although meant for those who forgot to buy something, others have used it.
. . . leave credit card imprint
. . . name the EXACT items and the EXACT stores
. . . return within 45-60 minutes

Sorry....

Now I am going to have to pick some up next time I'm at Epcot just to try it. Especially if its so good you are willing to search for it!

To Rusty - I had the same Google results that you did. The problem is that Mississippi is one of a small group of states that restricts shipments of wine and liquor to the state. That's why the shopping pass would be useful to us. I know that the shop in Italy does carry it, and we will be in the Tampa area next week. A side trip to the WDW resort area is only an hours drive away.

How about shipping the liquor from one of the online sellers to wherever you will be staying in Tampa? I believe FL allows inbound alcohol shipments. That way you save the drive and the hassle.

I'd suggest this too :) Florida allows liquor to be shipped and this would save you a trip to Orlando (Unless you wanted to go there) Limoncello upon hotel arrival would be awesome :cool1:
