One Day Visit in December??

We are flying into Orlado the evening of Thursday, December 13th. We have one day to spend, Friday the 14th, before our cruise leaves on the 15th. My DC (15 and 12) want to see "the other parks".

My questions are:
Would they be able to get a lot done in one day?
Would you go for the 2 park/1 day ticket or just try to do 1 park (if so which one)?
We will have a rental car and have reservations at POFQ right now, if I keep that ressie, (we were going to do Mickey's Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom) is it easy to driving to US/IOA?

I don't know much about either park, just browsed their website a little bit, the older two like thrill rides, and action, hate waiting in line so we'd definately buy the Express Plus ticket. Sorry for the rambling. TIA for any info you can give me.

During that time of December, the crowds are fairly light and if you get there when they open, you should be able to do just about everything in both parks. You may not need to purchase the EP for that day...I would wait and see.

I would go with the 1day/2park ticket..it's only about $10 more..so upgrade and do both.

Driving is not hard from Universal to Disney...right down I-4.
