My parents are coming to stay at POR for ONE night and I want to know if they can buy UPH at Disney for just one day. Is that possible??? They want to be able to hit two parks that day.

Any ideas?

TIA

If they are only staying one day and they aren't on a package they won't have any problems getting a one day UPH.

Thanks for your reply.

Should they buy it before they get there (assuming you can)? Who do I call to see the cost of the UPH. If it is close to two hundred I may just buy them one here for a four day hopper and that way they can use it when they go back. But I would really like to know the price.

Thanks!

You can call central reservations for the cost. If you do a search here on the DIS someone posted a link to a site where you can compare the UPH to other ticket prices.

Maybe someone can confirm, but I believe the smallest UPH available is a one night/two day. It would be good from check-in until midnight of the next day. The advance purchase price for this is $119, or $129 at the front desk when you get there, for one adult. As far as I know, I don't believe they can split this up and have it be valid, for, say the check-in day but not valid the next morning- the UPH are sold by the number of nights, not the number of days. So, I guess it depends on what your relatives are going to do, whether this is the best choice. If they're only going to spend one day in the parks, and only hop once, from, say, Magic Kingdom to Epcot, then two one day/one park tickets might be a little cheaper. But just about any other option- more parks, the second day hopping, etc, the UPH is probably better. Also the convenience of just putting the ticket on the room key with the UPH might make that the nicest choice too.

freediverdude is correct. The smallest UPH is a 2-day UPH.

Another possible option is to purchase regular 4-day park hoppers. These passes will never expire, and can be used for future visits.

One time in Apr 2001 we were in Pensacola, Florida for a family emergency, then once it was taken care of decided to spend the rest of the weekend down at WDW. We headed east and stopped for the night at the intersection of I-10 and I-75. I called CRO the next morning at 7am to make a 1-night reservation for that night and was offered by CRO a "1-day UPH". I declined and ordered 2-day UPHs, and didn't enquire as to the price or what caused their screen to offer that particular ticket.

So at that time, there was such a thing as a 1-day UPH for 1-night reservations.

you can also get three hoppers from ALAMO. You have to have a car reservation number but nothing says you can't cancel it after you get your tickets. I did.

Now I'm confused! I looked at the DU ticket site, but it doesn't say anything about a UPH for less than 3 days. I've already booked two nights, room only, at CR, through DU. How can I get 2 day UPH's in advance? Can I call for myself or can I email my DU agent even if they don't list them as available?
Somewhere I got the idea that adding UPH's made a room only res into a "package", but I don't want a package!

This originally wasn't even an issue. I had planned one day at MK before our cruise. The new code saved me enough to add the first afternoon/evening at Epcot. If I can get hoppers for the 2 days, that gives us even more flexibility to cram the maximum amount of fun into two days!

I see 1 day Park Hoppers on ebay all the time. I don't know if they are comp tickets people are selling or if someone actually sells 1 day hoppers, but you could try a search under Disney Tickets and see if there are any sellers you'd feel comfortable purchasing from.

I think the only way to get a 2 day UPH is to buy it at the resort
when you check in. You can then ask them to delete the day you
arrive or the day you leave. I have done this several times at the
Swan and at AKL. I don't think you can take advantage of the
discount you get by preordering because you have to buy it that
way for the whole trip, a 3 day UPH for a two night stay.
There is a bit of a trade off but for us it always made sense to buy
it when we got there and drop off the first day. Arriving from South Texas, its impossible to get to orlando befor late afternoon.

Hope I did not confuse you more.

Wintermom,
Thanks, that makes perfect sense. If I can drop the last day, which is the day we leave for the cruise, it will work out just right. I feel so much better!
Thanks!

We drop days off our room only stays all the time. Yes, you need to do it when you check in so you do loose the discount for buying in advance but it is better then paying for a ticket you will not use. I have never only had a reservation for one night, but I don't see what the difference would be, they still only activate the pass for either the day you arrive or the day you leave.

Those are probably comp tickets, as they are the only one day park hoppers that Disney has.
