We did a quick trip this past weekend and really enjoyed it.
Comments -
1) It was myself, husband, dd 17, ds13, ds13.
2) We have never been to universal - DVC members
3) We arrived Friday evening and stayed at the Hard Rock. They upgraded us to the club level which was nice. We used a AAA rate.
4) Spent Sat. at both parks and did most rides. It was cool so we missed the water rides.
5) We went straight to Harry Potter once the rope droppped and walked right on the ride. It was a fun ride and it did not make me sick. The Nick toon ride was the one that bothered me the most - yuck!
6) Went next to Ollivanders to do the wand thing. One of our boys was picked so that made it cool! Of course we bought wands.
7) We also drank butterbear, rode dragons, and looked at shops.
8) After Harry we toured the rest of IOA and also Universal. Late afternoon we came back to Harry but it was too crowded for us!
General Comments -
1) Loved the themeing of Harry Potter! We all thought it was very well done. The probelm is that because it is so well done the stores and walkways are small and narrow.
2) We were not that excited by the rest of the park. I guess we are a Disney Family. It isn't really a rollercoaster park (we did Cedar Point this summer) and it isn't quite as magical as disney either. We are glad we went but not sure if we would go again.
3) The Hard Rock was terrific. Everyone was very freindly and helpful.
