We are going to the World for our long awaited return trip, since my DH finally graduated x-ray tech school this past September! He landed a great job, so were going in August. Here's the question. We are staying at a vacation home 8 days, and I want to surprise DH, DS1 and DS2 with a night on property. They think we are leaving on a Saturday but really will be Sunday:yay: I went to make the reservation and found out a room at BC and a studio at BCV is the same price. Which is better? We are going to AK on Satuday, and figured after we check in at BC or BCV we could go to Epcot. We don't leave on Sunday until 7pm so I figured the kids could play at Stormalong---which resort should I pick???? I assumed from what I read BWV are closer to Epcot- but pool is nearer to BC- the distance doesn't really matter to me, but I'd love to hear some opinions on what YOU would do! Thanks for the help.

I think BC and BCV are connected. We only stayed at BCV and loved it. But you might be able to request a room at BC that is closer to SAB. BC is about the same distance to Epcot as the Boardwalk depends on which room you get. We had a split stay at BCV and Boardwalk this January. We prefer BCV. It is bright and airy.

If you rent from DVC members, you can get the dinning plan or even the deluxe dinning plan for one night. You are within walking distance to some great Epcot restaurants.

I am a DVC member and have stayed at both BC and BCV. I would pick a standard hotel room if I were you.

In the studio you will have one queen bed and a sleeper sofa; in a regular room you will have two queen beds (less work). :) I don't think that you will have time to get much value from the microwave and refrigerator or hang out on the couch either.

One plus, however, is that BCV is at the back of the property and is usually much quieter than the BC.

I think that your family will love either. Also, don't forget to check out the movie and campfire on the beach at night.

Go with the BC for the simple fact that you will have at least two real beds and maybe a day bed as well. Check in for the BC is 3 PM and 4PM for the villas. Odds are, your villa room might not be ready until after 4 or 5. Then you check out the next morning. Not really worth it.
