one bedroom but need three beds?

Hi: What size aerobed would fit into the one bedroom living room area, single or double?

I would stick with the one-bedroom and use the aerobed rather than going down to the 2 studios. The rooms are so much bigger. You may only have one bathroom, but the rooms are so much bigger and nicer than the studio.

That's true for OKW, where the living/dining room is much larger than the bedroom.

But that's not the case for the other DVC resorts at WDW. At those resorts, a studio takes one rectangular hotel room "bay." A 1BR takes two. And a 2BR takes three.

There's plenty of floor space for an aerobed in on OKW living room, even with the sleper sofa open. At the other DVC resorts at WDW, that's not the case. (I would guess a single aerobed will fit, but it would be tight; I don't know abut a double.)

I once considered this idea, in a Studio or 1 Bedroom;
Leave the sofa bed folded up, and put two twin Airbeds on the floor.
This isn't an issue in an OKW 1 bedroom, but for other rooms, where one needs to sleep two individuals, who don't want to sleep together, in the space provided by the one sleeper sofa, this works.

I'll chime in here.
If sleeping comfort is the most important issue, then 2 studios give you 4 beds and 2 bathrooms and 2 mini kitchenettes. You may or may not be close together, but then, how much time do you spend in your bedroom anyway, especially since the kids are adults....And, if as the post suggests, the kids are only coming for part of the stay, then you only need to get the 2nd studio for when they arrive, so less overall points than a 1 bedroom.

BUT....you mentioned you are checking into DVC ownership. For that reason alone, I think you need to see the 1 bedroom OKW. It is really special...much bigger and a prettier layout than any other DVC 1 bedroom. I experienced it as a 'renter' from Disney years ago...and almost bought in on the spot!

As for room for 4: there is plenty. I recall that we had 4 adults. I gave my sister and her hubby the bedroom and a girlfriend and I slept in the living room, can't remember how, but I think I used the sofabed and she used the loveseat: she was short and with pillows at both ends of it, it made a really comfy sitch, as those of us who fall asleep watching TV on our loveseats well know. If you are driving take the airbed just in case...and there is room for a double one easy....but I bet that the ease of just using the available sofa bedand loveseat will win after a long day at the parks.

Remember with the one bedroom that you have a separate shower and a big jacuzzi tub, a full kitchen and a washer/dryer and a bigger balcony and a bigger TV unit.....the two studios give you more of a feel of a hotel room but then you do have two bathrooms, 4 beds.

I guess it really boils down to the needs of your particular fam ...and only you know that.
