One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

On our way back out the door for our long appt. Rachel's video uploaded without a problem, Lisa's keeps telling me the file won't convert...sigh. no time to deal with it now.

Take a look at Rachel's. It is fairly intricate handwork, those who play guitar will know just how amazing it is.

Prayers for all.

Rachel nailed that song. She plays better than many of the professional's. I laughed out loud about Pete and the socks. :rotfl2:

If you are anything like me, even though my kids were able to pack for themselves, I still go back and double check everything. You know kinda like Santa...making a list, checking it twice. :rotfl:

I'll watch Rachel's video during my lunch hour. I know that it will keep my mind off the fact that I'm eating a t.v. dinner.:p

Oh and Pete and his socks! :lmao:

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebrating Jesus' Birthday and a fabulous New Year.

I need to catch up.

Please pray for our extended family and friends who lost a loved one to cancer yesterday.
Also my best friend's dog is in need of surgery because of a tumor and their vet doesn't do payment plans so they are not sure where the money will come from.

I pray you are all doing well.

Judy - You are very welcome and I hope your family and Tracy have a magical trip!!!!

Judy, where did Rachel get that silver hat in the video? It looks great on her. I just listened to the video again, that girl has incredible talent and skill. :thumbsup2 She gets better with each performance.

Glad Emile is doing so well.

Hope Rachel has a blast at her show!

It's starting to warm up here, 80's by Saturday. Happy packing and planning.
Thanks Tink, she is looking forward to it. I am looking froward to warmer weather!
Judy, glad that you got the wheelchair ordered for your time in Orlando so that your foot can continue to get better. Can't wait to see the performances from Open Mic night!

I know you and Tracy will be ready for both your time in Orlando. Only 3 more days until you all meet up again!

Have fun Tracy celebrating Emile's big brother's birthday! :cake:
I hope you have seen Rachel's video.
She worked hard to learn this song, I am proud of her talent and work ethic.

I NEED my foot to get better, I woke up three times last night with foot cramps and I was only in bed a few hours to begin with. Favoring it makes other things hurt.

Three more days, I can hardly believe it!

You are right she DID and she DOES! Yes, the socks were funny...I have one child that semi follows him in forgetting things everywhere.

Yes ma'am I have to check to make sure it is all there! :thumbsup2

I hope hearing Rachel play made things more palatable! THANK YOU for watching the video and for your very kind words. :goodvibes You are a good friend and I  you.

Pete and his socks...and shoes...and shirt..belt etc....I have learned to physically see it...because we have gone over it before and STILL he missed things. :rotfl2: Opposites DO attract!

Glad to see you back Rachel, I have missed you.

I am TRULY SORRY for the loss of your family and friend, Cancer is a horrible illness and I am sorry it has taken such a toll on your family.

I am also sorry for your BF having to deal with HOW to save her dog's life. Animals are so much more to us than animals, they are family.

My prayers for your entire family and health and prosperity will be yours in this New Year!!

My friend sent it to her, because Rachel always wears Fedora's when she performs. My friend wore it once for a party. It is REALLY nice, better than the ones I buy her. :rotfl2: Rachel has talent oozing from her every pore. Each show she is more confident. Speaking of confidence, I really can't wait for you to see/hear Lisa from last night. The video had finished uploading when I got home this evening, but my youtube account has been quiet while I was gone all day, not too many views today on Rachel's video.

Great job Rachel!!!
Sandra, THANK YOU for watching and letting me know you had!! Praying you are feeling well.

Hi Judy, Yes, I watched Rachel's video this morning and didn't have time to post again until now. She did a fantastic job learning the new song!

Made a new recipe for lunch which was a deep dish pizza. It made lots so we have plenty of leftovers. Didn't have to bake the crust. It made one while it baked. Billy rated it number 3 of pizza recipes I've tried.

Had to make an emergency vet appointment for Tiffy this afternoon. She fell backwards trying to jump up on the couch console. They took an x-ray and found she tore the cartilage between her spine and hip causing something like sciatica. They gave her pain pills and we need to keep her off of it as much as possible to let it heal for a couple of weeks.

Lousy timing with having the foster dog and my sister leaving Saturday. We'll work things out. I'll be up most of the night keeping an eye on Tiffy.

I know Rachel will do fantastic at her show on Saturday. Her performance will blow people away with how good she is just like she does us.

Praying for complete healing of your foot Judy and that everyone will be well to enjoy all you have planned in Florida.

Are you able to buy Beignets at Port Orleans Resort, French Quarter all day long or only during AM hours? Thanks to anyone who knows this answer!!

Oh no Gail, Poor Tiffy!:hug: sending hugs from all of us, yes it IS lousy timing! Poor sweetie, I know that upset you, it would me!. I hope you get some rest. I sent you an email a little bit ago which has something in it to soothe your soul. It made me weep, seriously.

I knew you had watched it and would let me know you liked the video when you had time, you are good at that and supporting the children, Thank you! Rachel is very excited about Saturday. Me too!

Thank you for your prayers and love. PLEASE try and rest when you can, I know you need to care for Tiffy, maybe she will just sit quietly with you to feel better.

Prayers being sent heavenward. :hug::grouphug::hug:

ETA: I need the recipe for David! The one doesn't make much for us, but it is SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! When we get back from Florida I need to buy stock in Mozzarella!

Judy, hope you day went ok, sounded like it was a busy one!
I was going through my suitcase tonight and broke the zipper :headache:

Diegosmom, glad to hear Diego is doing ok, hope that continues. Keep us updated on his wish, it would be neat to see the batcave, but I am sure it's a heavily guarded secret. ;)

Praying for Catherine.
RooRach, praying for your friends and family

It was stressful because of the location of the MD and the length of time in one place.

Yikes about the zipper, I know what you will be doing today (unless sis has a spare). I am am just glad it didn't happen while you were traveling/flying!

happy it is getting warmer, I don't want to be in the pool by myself ;)
Aren't you funny! :rotfl2::lmao: and accurate!!:thumbsup2

Gail, thinking of you and Tiffy this AM.

Rachel praying for your extended family and your BF dog.

Praying for Catherine and Diego!

Praying for all of the needs spoken and not.

TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!! :faint:

Another Question!

Is there anything else to do at POFQ besides look at the unique theming if you aren't resort guests? For instance, at AKL, there were tours we were able to participate in if we weren't guests at the resort (which I HIGHLY recommend, one of our favorite memories last trip happened at AKL)

Beignets, all day. There's the boat to dtd. They have a camp fire and roast marshmellos. We were staying at csr and they let us do the campfire there. Yeehaw Bob performs certain nights at POR. His show is fabulous. He is a master of getting the audience engaged. In fact, he teaches classes on the side how to do that, (not at his show at por).

Judy,

I haven't been able to follow along much but knew your trip was getting close. Wishing you a magical trip. Hope all are doing well.

Debbie

Did you hear screams of joy yesterday? It may have been coming from my house, we told the children that a very sweet Fairy Godmother has given each of us two day/one park tickets to Disney World...We will spend one day at Magic Kingdom and one day at Epcot!!! I LOVE surprises and this one was huge!!! That means we get to have some fun touring the parks with Tracy!! Sometimes Thank You seems so inadequate, but I am feeling my blessings...Next Monday we will wake up in Florida and now we have some Disney Magic sprinkled on

So I finally remember how to multi quote and it only took until you get ready to leave!:rotfl: Now that is some great pixie dust!! I can't believe it is time for your trip!!

Just a quickie update on Catherine. Her angiogram at CHOP didn't go as well as expected. She's a vascular access nightmare (I'm sure Lisa is as well!), so they had to do the renal angio from the brachial artery. Well, once they did the angioplasty on the severely stenosed renal artery, the vessel completely shut off...they weren't sure if it was a clot or vasospasm, so they treated her for both immediately--TPA, Nitroglycerin, more balloon--and finally they got partial flow back to the kidney. But it was scary, because she only has one kidney. Creatinine is still not back to normal, but function is hanging in there. We are hopeful things continue to improve, but we are one month out from the procedure, so I'm afraid this may be her new baseline. THen, when they pulled out the access from the brachial artery, she had developed a pseudoaneurysm up to her axilla! 90 minutes of ultrasound guided pressure to make that clot. She was under anesthesia for 9 hours this day. Lucky us, we got to spend the next 4 days in the CICU at CHOP. Normally for a renal procedure, we would have been in the PICU, but we were lucky that there wasn't any beds there, because we love the care and the nurses in the CICU! The worst part of all of this is that the procedure was hoped to improve her hypertension, but we are still on the same meds we started with. But, she feels good and is back to school and normal activities. It's been a rough fall with too many trips to Philly, but it's worth it for the care we are getting there. We go back up to see her nephrologist in a couple of weeks.

OKay--I will try to keep up here better!! I'm so excited for your trip!! :goodvibes
Oh my goodness. Definately sending up prayers for Catherine. So glad to hear she is back to school and feels good.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! Sorry I haven't been around much, I have been busy and without internet.

Sorry I don't have time for replies tonight but thanks for all the well wishes for Emile. He is doing great. Today was his due date! And tomorrow is his Brother's birthday. My sister says Emile didn't want to risk sharing a birthday or even want to share a birthday month that's why he came so early. ;)

I leave for Florida in 3 sleeps!!!! I am super excited but really unprepared :rotfl:

I can't believe you are all getting ready to have your amazing trip so soon! Although it probably feels like a long time waiting. So glad to hear that Emile is doing really well.

HAVE a GREAT TRIP!!!!

Judy, I have been waiting all day for you to post Lisa's video. I hope you do soon, you leave in 2 days.

Praying for Tiffy and everyone else.

We ere just there. Beignets are available all day. They are good but messy. There really isn't anything to do. At Por they have boats to rent and fishing and a Carriage ride but I am not sure if you have to be a Guest.

Wow 2 days.....have a great time
