Judy, Happy Thanksgiving! Tracy, Happy Thursday! I hope you both have awesome days. Judy, you ARE blessed! And positive and inspirational! You are so kind to share your thread with so many. I think people forget it IS about you and Tracy. :goodvibes

Please do put up your next update, I will post. :thumbsup2

I never did make it to bed (which turned out to be a good thing :lmao:), but I did doze in and out as each child came in to say good morning. :goodvibes I figureI deserve a nice long nap this afternoon! :thumbsup2

Happy Thanksgiving friends!! I hope everyone has a beautiful holiday!

Judy, Thanksgiving is so exhausting for the person cooking.

Thoughts and prayers to all.
You too!
I am so lucky, All four of the children have helped me cook. Christian and David helped me with the casseroles and Rachel and Lisa helped me with the desserts/pies. Today has been a lot of just easy prep and we are simply waiting on the food to finish cooking. My house smells yummy and I have nothing to do but answer a few responses (No worries, I WILL go back and answer what I am behind on. I also have 293 emails  and too many PMs, just so far behind...hey, what is new? ;)). Pete carves the Turkey, so I don't even have to do that!
I hope everybody has a wonderful time with family and friends today. Traveling mercies for those driving and flying. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Well said my friend, Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
Oh wow!!!! What an awesome opportunity!!! You guys only know each other because of the Dis? That is so incredible to me :goodvibes

I've only read through the first couple pages, but this sounds like so much fun! LOVE the pictures of Bandit! What a honey.

My trip in 2008 was off-site and we stayed in Windsor Hills (not sure if you were still looking for recommendations, but figured I'd throw it out there!)

Happy Thanksgiving pixiedust:
:welcome::welcome::welcome: to out TR. Thanks again for your PM. :goodvibes

Tracy and I met last year on the DIS, after Lisa's Wish Trip. I used to share a lot more than I do now (believe it or not :rotfl2:). We met IRL last September 2012 and it was just a natural friendship, nothing was forced, just comfortable. She is an incredible lady and I am blessed to know her. When she asked we jumped at the opportunity. I have et some really WONDERFUL folks here and have some friends I will have forever! :thumbsup2

Bandit is an INCREDIBLE dog he has been through a lot himself and we are blessed to have him.

Windsor Creek looked really nice, the houses were a bit more pricey, but really nice. Our house looks like a great fit for us, we hope to be able to report back a great experience in case someone else might like to stay there.

Please join us anytime you have time, we would love that. :goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
You too!

I will update once folks are reading again. :goodvibes

Billy's taking a nap after our Thanksgiving meal and I've cleaned up and put everything away. I've been up since 2 am. As my first grain free Thanksgiving, most everything turned out. Some of the recipes I've only tried for the first time. There were a few hits and one miss. Shared some with our daughter so she can enjoy some dressing and dessert with her husband's work group meal.

Judy, you are blessed to have so many willing helpers to ease the pressure on the cook. :thumbsup2 Happy Thanksgiving!

Its late in the day but Happy Thanksgiving to all! A 12 hour work day is exhausting but I think I can honestly say that its the first holiday I have worked in many, many years where I didn't have to tell a family that a they had lost a loved one, for that I am very grateful! ER nursing is not always a cake walk, I can tell you that!

I also was very thankful when I arrived home, planning on a peanut butter sandwich for supper and I am told that my brother left turkey and homemade mashed potatos in my fridge for me!!!!!! If you think Lisa likes MEAT, don't get near me if mashed potatos are around! So supper is done, leftover turkey turned into turkey salad for a sandwich for work tomorrow and I can finally have a hot shower and get into a warm bed, yet more things to be thankful about :cool1:

Good night to all, be safe you anyone is going out shopping tonight or tomorrow, and safe travels home for everyone that visited family and friends today.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! My Thanksgiving turned out pleasantly different than what I had expected. 2 of my sisters and I planned to meet at a restaurant for dinner before one had to go to work. This morning my sister in law called and asked us to come to dinner with her and some of their kids. It was a nice evening. Now I am watching another sister's 3 & 6 year olds overnight so she and her husband can go shopping. She loves the mad shopping and I don't so I get to spend time with the kids and she gets to shop til she drops. My brother in law wasn't too thrilled with the idea of shopping all night!

Thanks for everyone that stopped by on their holiday! Hope it was enjoyable for everyone and whoever was traveling had safe journeys!
Tracy, Happy Thursday! I hope you both have awesome days.
Thank you, I did have a good Thursday. :goodvibes I thought of you all while I was at work. It's been a super busy month at work, I can't believe it's almost December!!!

TRACY....:wave2: We need to get some plans. :lmao: Cabana boy Pete and a pool...sounds good to me. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Thoughts? :scratchin
Any Emile updates? :goodvibes

Judy! :wave2: Plans, yes, well, we haven't done much planning lately, have we. :duck: It's coming so fast!

Emile is good, I haven't talked to my sister as much this week because not only have I been busy but her in-laws came down to visit for the week, so they are meeting Emile for the first time and that is keeping her busy.

We did just meet because of Dis! Crazy I know, we started just doing a dis meet and now we are doing a whole week! You know some people you meet and just click with? Well, I guess we clicked!

I have heard good things about Windsor Hills, we ended up getting a house in Indian Creek, which is very close to WH.

Glad you got some potatoes for thanksgiving!

Thanks for reminding me about the shopping, yes hope everyone that choses to brave black Friday is safe (and hopfuly it isn't too crazy~!)

Tracy, I don't know that area. Are you going to have to take toll roads to get places, or will there be non-toll roads to use?

Dear Gail, It sounds like you had a wonderful first Grain free Thanksgiving! I know all of the hard work and effort you put in to it and I am so proud you were able to do it! Glad most turned out the way you wanted; however, kudos for the successes. :goodvibes I hope you got in a nap as well I confess I dozed several times yesterday, getting ready to hit the road for a bit, then hopefully home to decorate.

Yes, I am so thankful for my helpers, but it would have been much more difficult for me to do all grain free. I am thankful to have you to help guide me with that.

Praying today is a nice way to end a hectic/busy week and the weekend is more peaceful!

So glad everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I always feel happy I don't have to cook. We always spend it with my sister-in-law's family. When we got there the house didn't have the wonderful turkey smell and I wondered what we were having. But they had just cooked it the day before and reheated it. :confused3 Not the best plan even though I usually like leftovers. Then we came home and my daughter and I went shopping. That wasn't the best idea either as we had no special Black Friday items we had to get. I wish we had just gone out at midnight as that was when the lines were going down. She dropped me off at 2AM and kept shopping until 9. We did get some good deals and a Target coupon good for 20% off next week. Boy am I going to stock up then.

Hope everyone has a great weekend recovering from Thanksgiving ( and black Friday) :goodvibes

Tracy, I don't know that area. Are you going to have to take toll roads to get places, or will there be non-toll roads to use?

There is a toll road kind of behind the community, but we won't need to use it. we are on the Disney side of the toll road. I don't know if you know where WH is, but it's just down the road from WH and a few miles from the AK area of WDW :)

Praying today is a nice way to end a hectic/busy week and the weekend is more peaceful!
Thank you my friends, I'm not sure about peaceful, I have to work, but after next week maybe things will start to slow down?
I hope you have recovered from your sleepless turkey night and have a great weekend!

Not cooking is nice!
I can't imagine the shopping, and until 9! :faint: I don't like crowds, I've never gone boxing day shopping. I seem to think that black Friday wasn't a thing in Canada until a couple of years ago and I have no desire to go shopping then either. But I am glad you go some good deals and a coupon :cool1:

Hi everybody!

I hope you all are having a blessed long holiday with your families. Ours has been nutso with cleaning up the rental house and still putting our house together. Thankfully Scotty has been off and at home to help out.

My thoughts and and prayers are with all.

Oh that's good you all won't have to use toll roads. I googled WH because I didn't know where it was. Now I have a general idea. We usually take toll roads to Disney. It adds up.

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! We started a new tradition this year as my mom just did not feel like cooking etc. We went to a lodge at one of our parks and it was a very nice dinner out. But my hubby has requested dinner at home next year so it looks like I will be cooking the big dinner next year. I am really happy about that because I have really enjoyed cooking alot this year.

I am so sorry to hear of your uncles passing Judy. Wow I can't believe they are working at GKTW that very week you will be there! It is great that they are doing a makeover but too bad it wasn't a couple of weeks later. I just love that pool at the house! How is your dad doing?

Tracy I am glad to read your nephew is doing better. Prayers that this continues. I just love your dumbo purse! What a lovely picture of you!

Many prayers to those who need them today.

I disappeared as my laptop was on it's last leg. I was just getting ready to start a pretrip report. I am still hoping to do it this week after I get some paperwork finished. Ty had his annual vision check and it didn't go as planned. We had some suprises but overall his rx hasn't changed which is great. Although he is now having problems tracking but he is already compensating by moving his head. So now he will get his vision checked every six months by a genetic vision dr. Nothing terrible but just something to keep a look at.

Hi Judy, Hope you are all enjoying some family time together and had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Bob left this morning for his long drive home. It was great to have him here and spend some time with him. Tiffy just loves him and was sad to see him leave as we were too.

Have you and Tracy made any more plans for your trip? Can't believe it's December! In a little over two weeks my sister will be back for another visit.

Hope everyone had a great time with family and friends over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Hi Judy,

I'm sorry I've been MIA. I have quite a few pages to catch up on your PTR. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! You can now say you are going to Disney NEXT MONTH! I had a nice and quiet Thanksgiving home with my parents and some family, but my trip home was another story. I guess you'll have to visit my PTR and remind me to check in once in awhile! :rotfl2:

I just popped by to say hi. :goodvibes

Yes, I image that toll roads add up. Glad we don't have to use them, but do they at least make your trip quick?
