Popping in to say hi before I head to my least favorite place, the dentist. Bit into an Italian sub on Saturday and I swear the pepper in it was like a rock. I have at least 6 teeth in pain. The whole left side of my mouth. JJ can see one for sure that's broken.

Tracy, would you believe most if my neighbors don't have pools? And they don't go to Disney either...gasp!!!

When I read that yesterday I felt the pain to the roots of my teeth. Glad the dentist could see you, that is HORRIBLE! What kind of pepper should do that to your teeth?!? I am so very sorry for what you have to endure. You KNOW how I feel about the dentist...

You know folks................I seriously think I have a problem! Can anyone tell me that a NORMAL person comes home after a 12 hour shift during which I am in perpetual motion and the FIRST THING I do is turn on the computer and log on to this thread!!!!!! I mean, I don't get undressed, I don't eat supper even if I haven't had lunch, I don't read the paper, I don't look at the mail, I don't look at emails............NOTHING! Surely there is a 12 step program for Dis'ers

But in all seriousness, even when someone posts something sad/bad, the outpouring of love and support here makes it so worthwhile to read the thread. Prayers to all that are in need, happy thoughts for those whose day hasn't been great and lastly, for all the great things that may have happened today for everyone!

41 views left for Princess Lisa's video to reach 20,000.........maybe less since it takes a while for the count to be updated! WHO is going to be the winner of lucky 20,000????? I wish I could say it was me, I have that video memorized I have watched it so many times, although I had forgotten Lisa was still counting until Judy recently mentioned it But I must put away the laptop and get ready for bed, its been a long day and I have to be up early to go have some FUN.........anyone a country music fan, esp a Trace Adkins fan? I am very happy to say that my love for that guy has made me do a crazy thing ( I know, what else is new), I am going on a short road trip to see him in concert in Shippensburg PA, his first Christmas CD ever is out and its awesome! One morning when I couldn't sleep (I have Judy beat some nights) I came up with a plan to drive north 8 hours to meet up with my best friend who will drive 4 hrs south and attend this concert. And no road trip isn't complete without some shopping (well, looking) so rather than do all that driving for just one day, I made it 3 days total and I don't have to work until Saturday

DH took the stuff down yesterday. He put the tree up last night. The plan was for me and the kids to decorate it today. Well..... That didn't happen!! James and I ended up going and buying the movie Planes so I didn't have much time before Sarah got off school to do anything. Then once Sarah did get home (my neighbor gave her a ride home) we took James and Sarah to Toys R Us so my sister could get the kids their birthday presents since she missed their birthday. Got home from there and then had to go get Jeremy from school about 30 mins later. By the time I got home from there and got James down for his nap I was too tired and didn't feel like pulling out any ornaments so I didn't. So we have our stocking holders up (with stockings), tree up and tree skirt under the tree. Bit I will say It's Starting to Look Like Christmas around here!!

The second hula hoop has to go back to the store, it is slightly off kilter. The girls and I noticed it immediately, Pete STILL can't tell, even after we pointed it out.

Well of course Pete isn't going to notice it's off. He's a guy. They don't normally hula hoop. Sorry Pete!!

She wasn't feeling her best yesterday, I was glad she had a good weekend. I spent 75 minutes last night just holding her, it was worrisome.

Poor Lisa. I hope she's feeling better today. Glad you were able to cuddle with her.

I knew I had read something but it was probably in passing so I missed it too. I think the next time I'm going to see a lot of my extended family is going to be next year when my cousin get's married. It's very sad it takes someone getting married or dying to get the family together. I miss my extended family but I've never been able to get them to show up to anything when I've tried so I've basically have given up and will keep trying when I can.

There is a fantastic lady on the DIS that makes amazing, amazing, wonderful bags, D~ .

Judy, glad to hear that Lisa's therapy is going good and she is getting better. I am sorry to hear about your uncle. I know all about only seeing family at funerals. The last time I saw anyone on my dad's side was at my grandma's funeral 2 1/2 years ago, and some of them live less than 20 mins from me.

Yeah I am working, two twelve hour nights a week. It works good cause I can still help with my dad's care and get my work done for school.

I had to laugh about Pete and the hula hoops. I had a Christmas present hiding fail this year too. My mom bought my husband a saw for Christmas while she was down here last month. I had in under a blanket in the guest room he never goes into. I kept putting off wrapping it and then he decided to clean the guest room closet out and found it. So he got his Christmas present early this year.

I have watched the video a couple of times this morning and will watch off and on throughout the day.

I rarely ask for prayers, but I need them now (not that we don't always need them.) An issue that I thought had been cleared up by going gluten-free has reared its head with a vengeance. Plus, my nausea has returned. The good news is that I've lost 9 lbs in a week--the bad news is that this isn't a good way to lose them!

I am continuing to drink water so I can keep hydrated even though it goes right through me. I am trying to eat small meals with foods that are good for me because a diabetic needs regular meals. I dread eating because I know what the result will be. My doctors have never been much help with this issue. (And it seems like the sulfasalazine has stopped working.)

I am so thankful you let us know your needs so many could lift you up. I KNOW there are lots of folks who read here who don't take the time to post, but they DO pray! May you feel a complete and total healing of your body from the inside out as you endure what are certainly difficult days. It is indeed hard to nourish your body knowing what the consequences will be; however, I am proud of you for doing what you need to try and stay as healthy as possible. HUGE HUGS for you!

I'll try to watch the Lisa's video when I have a chance too! Hope she's feeling much better today.

Piper, so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I've heard that just 1/1000th of a piece of gluten is enough for your body to react to it and cause your symptom to flare up again. Watch carefully for those hidden wheat. Praying that your body will heal up fast and you'll be feeling better soon!

Tracy, the Pocahontis bag is great!

Judy, my teeth are doing better. However, I woke up today gritting them and now that left side is very uncomfortable. But the good news is the teeth themselves hurt not deep down and in my jaw, ear, and cheek as they did on Saturday. The dentist thinks since it's getting better that it's just trauma to the nerve and not damage. I go back in a couple weeks so that's good news.

I posted a picture of JJ's dress rehearsal on my new TR. The theater recently did a production of Les Mis. They are keeping one of the back drops for JJ's play! It looks fabulous. One of the parents did all the costuming and props for all 46 "kids", with minimal help from other parents. She had great vision. This weekend is show time!

It feels like the icing on top of my cake this week... I had NO IDEA they EVER closed GKTW....

I've been MIA from being busy again but had to check in. Many prayers, Judy, for the rough week; hope it improves. Thank you so much for the holiday invitation! We are blessed to be stationed near family but it means a lot to be so kindly thought of!

Praying for Emile. I can't imagine how hard the loss of one of the other babies makes it on his parents.

I really can't go into detail but suffice it to say that there are rumblings that Bill may not be home in time for the race. Please pray things go back to what they originally told us. I have to make a phone call to runDisney that I really don't want to have to make to see what our worst-case options are.

That is exactly what I told Volunteer Services, SO happy for GKTW, sad for us. I knew they were getting a Makeover soon, I just didn't know when exactly or that they would CLOSE the village! Here is more info on the makeover.

Judy, so sorry to hear about your uncle's passing, but it is nice to hear that the service was so good and you were able to celebrate his legacy with the rest of the family. We had a little excitement here the last few days. My kids' school has had a student-sponsored charitable giving project for the last 4 years to collect shoebox gifts to donate to Operation Christmas Child. Well, last week a parent went and filed a lawsuit (without notifying the school) to sue the school for not following separation of church and state. The school got a letter about the lawsuit on Thursday with cease and desist orders. So on Friday we got a letter from the Board telling all the families that they are suspending the project and not to bring in our shoeboxes this week but drop them off somewhere else. The students were appalled, and got permission from the business next door to the school to have everyone drop off their boxes there starting today through Friday. I went to bring our stuff in this morning and it turns out the local media got ahold of the story and there were 4 news trucks, police escort, the whole shebang out there and the traffic was lined up all down the block with people trying to get in to drop off their boxes! I guess the community decided that this was going to be their dropoff spot, too, and came out in force this morning to support the kids. I was so proud of those kids for not giving up but for thinking creatively to find a good solution. AND, to top it all off, the Alliance for Defending Freedom has agreed to help the school craft a policy for next year that will comply with the law and protect them while still allowing student-led faith based service projects, so the kids are getting a great civics lesson while they are at it! I am just so proud of these kids and blessed to be part of such a supportive community.
