Just saw that places in the south, including North Carolina probably will be getting snow this week!

I wanted to do a quick update on my mom. They did her open heart surgery today. She has a new aortic valve and surgery went well.

I hope she has a fast and uneventful recovery, my aunt had that a few years ago and did well, her only complaint now is it hurts to wear a bra..........oh well, I told her that she is pushing 70 and has no reason to "sling them puppies up anyway", plus that means she saves money by not having to buy them!

I heard it is snowing in Charlotte.

Just south of there its snowing, and all around Charlotte from reports I have heard on the radio, I TOLD Judy to keep that stuff up there! Its only been about 2 hours since it started here and my yard is rapidly turning white!

I have it on good authority that Charlotte has heavy snowfall right now, just in time for the evening commute and that Judy has no control over the weather. If she did, I am sure she would order up a sunny 70 degrees daily.

Yes, snow is lovely, enjoy it Just be glad I'm not sending you my negative temps!
I actually prefer that it stays below freezing all winter then have ice and slush.

Well hope it didn't cause too much craziness with the commute! I always think snow is way worst in places not use to it because no one knows how to drive in it and they can't keep the roads clear. We have a blizzard and the plows are out clearing the drifts right away. Do they even have snow plows in places in the South like Charlotte

Thank you!! We are loving having Baby Jeffrey here. He is such a good baby!! I've been getting sleep when I can and it's been a blessing having my mom here. She's been doing all the driving getting kids to and from school so I can stay home and sleep.

Sarah is a very proud big sister!! Every time she holds him you can see the joy in her face. All she wants to do is hug and kiss him. But how could you not kiss his cute baby cheeks!!

Guess I need to change that ticker now that he's here!!! He's 10 days old today and doing great!!

Michele, so glad to hear your Mom's surgery went well. I hope she recovers quickly. She should see a huge difference in her energy levels after she recovers. My mom said she had no idea how bad her "normal" was before the surgery until she realized how much better she was afterward.

Marilyn, hope your Dad is doing much better now and is able to go home soon.

Judy, please be careful with that icy mess out there! Hope your family is staying warm and dry and enjoying the snow from INSIDE the house!

Thank you for all the prayers for my dad. Unfortunately he is still not doing very well. They had to put him on a ventilator yesterday because his blood gasses came back low. I'm not really sure what that means though. This morning the doctors said he is trying to breath around the ventilator so they might try to get him off of it today. Even if he gets off he still has a long road to recovery.
