One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Glad you all made it safely to Florida and already enjoyed your first full day there at DTD. Hope the rest of the week is filled with lots of blessings that come your way and in ways you didn't expect. Praying that you will have nice sunny warm days too!

Glad you had a nice adult day. We ended up at DHS after our stop at the Boardwalk. Had a nice evening. But JJ woke up this morning with the ''worse sore throat of his life'', a cough, and really stuffed nose. He goes to the pediatrician this afternoon. He's sad he couldn't see Lisa, but didn't want to get her sick. It could be allergy, so much is in bloom and he doesn't have a fever, but don't want to take and chances.

Enjoy your vacation!! We all understand if we don't hear from you for a few days right now!! So happy you made it to FL safely!!

Sounds like a wonderful day! So glad you have the wheelchair - you will get so much more enjoyment from this trip if your foot is rested and you are not in horrible pain. Soak up that wonderful sun and get some REST and RELAXATION!!

We had some excitement here yesterday. I got an automated call from the school that they were evacuating due to a "chemical spill" and I had to go get the kids. It was completely crazy over there. No place to park, we had to park at another location and hike over, then stand in line with 600 other parents to go in and stand in 2 other lines to sign my kids out, took over an hour just to get through the line- they were being held inside the building and we had to sign them out while a runner went to get them. They could not bring anything with them, so no water bottles, coats, homework came home with us, but at least they were safe. Turns out 2 students are now in police custody for setting off some type of device inside a classroom. Thankfully, even though there were some injuries/hospitalizations due to inhaling fumes/passing out, everyone is now OK and home. My kids were fine but scared, they had to stand outside in the snow and wind without coats for an hour before they were moved inside to get warm, but HazMat had to OK the gym for them and they sent the bomb squad through to clear the building first. It is so scary to not know what is going on, not get any info from the first responders (all of us parents were asking, "Are our kids OK? What is going on?" with no answers from them because it was an "ongoing active investigation") and all you can see is police, fire department, HazMat trucks all over, ambulances leaving, etc. But it could have been so much worse and I am so grateful they are all OK.

Thank you! :goodvibes

Me too!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! How is your Mom???

It feels so surreal...we are IN Florida WITH Tracy! :yay:

Thank you!. I wish you were here, the weather is beautiful!! :yay:

Thank you Kathy, praying all is well.

Well, she had an angiogram today. She is in good spirits which is good. She has to get her aortic valve replaced. The Dr that did her angiogram today told me that the rest o her heart is good and she not have any more problems once the valve is replaced. He is confident about it so I am. They are doing the surgery on Tuesday. So if you all don't mind I would appreciate the prayers.

I am up, unable to sleep...should be time for me to get up if I was at home, so there we have it. Yesterday was a lot of fun for the kids, and we took care of some things and enjoyed and "adults only" type of day. It was odd, I ALWAYS have a child around...but it was fun too. The house is huge and roomy, we all have our own space. I still can't believe yesterday I was sitting at DTD in my shirt sleeves, soaking up the sun and listening to Disney music...truly surreal. And thank Goodness for this W/C, I have been so thankful we rented it already!

Let me get this posted before the DIS shuts down. Thanks for all of the wonderful messages. :goodvibes:goodvibes WE are reading, I am just having lots of trouble with my computer. It goes off of extended warranty on Monday. :crazy2: And it is five years old...

Judy, I hope you are relaxed and enjoying yourself. I hope everyone is having a wonderful trip.

 You poor thing. Have you recovered from it? How awful and scary is that? I am glad to hear that everyone is okay and the two kids are in custody. How terrible.

Thoughts and prayers to all.

Michele, my Mom had her mitral valve replaced a couple of years ago and what a difference! I hope your family has the same experience. We didn't realize how bad she had gotten until after the surgery and saw such a change in her color, energy level, etc. The recovery was a little longer than we were expecting, but we are so, so glad she had it done. She is back to her old self now and keeping up with the grandkids, gardening, volunteering; all the things she had not been able to do because she didn't have the energy before. We'll be praying that the surgery goes well.

Thanks for thinking of the kids. They are back to school and once the repairs are done to the classroom from the explosion they should never have to worry about it again. We still don't know if it was a malicious act or just a couple of dumb kids trying to duplicate something they saw on TV/online (they added something -lithium, I think? -to a water bottle and it exploded). The police have been very tight-lipped about it and so has the administration so until we hear otherwise, I will assume it was a prank gone bad. All 6 of the kids and teacher taken to the hospital were later released, so they are fine, thank goodness.

Judy, hope you are all having a marvelous time!

Thank you. I am confident that she will feel much better after the surgery.

I am glad that your kids are no worse for the wear. That is so scary. I am curious to know what drove them to do it. I hope that it was a prank gone bad. I am glad no one was seriously hurt.

Wow that is so scary for you and the kids!! I did read that everyone is ok and fine so that is good to hear.

Judy thinking of you and the fantastic time your having.

Baby news:
SHHH don't tell (especially on FB because I haven't posted anything there) but I have a feeling that baby #4 may be making an appearance within the next 24 - 48 hours!! Last night I had contractions for about 3 hours coming every 5 mins. They weren't coming hard enough to make me want to go in to the hospital. Then this morning I got up around 5:45 am with Jeff and started having contractions again!! (Plus found something else had happened that I won't go into detail here, if you're a parent you can probably figure out what I'm talking about and no it wasn't my water breaking.)
