Paid off cruise today...:yay::banana::yay::banana::dance3:

Hope to get Palo and Remy ressies on July 18th when Castaway Club Silver booking window opens.

No need for excursions as we'll be staying onboard in Nassau and doing a spa day. We plan on running the Castaway Cay 5K and and will probably rent bikes before finally crashing at Serenity Bay with a Margarita in my hand. :rotfl:

Hi Everyone :wave2:

We will be cruise with you!! If it is not to late we would like to join the FE list. I'm willing to help in anyway I can. On my last DCL cruise I did a map of the FE statements for everyone. Just the DCL deck layout and highlight and listed the rooms.

DH 47
Me 32 (OK 33 next month :rolleyes1)

Hiya,
Email me with everyone's names and your cabin number, and if you have any food allergies. If you wanted to do the room map that would be awesome! We are closing the list probably August 16th. My email is bettyboop_fan@msn.com.
Thanks,
Chris

What is everyone doing in Nassau? We have never been there before and wanted to see the sights, but I have heard that (1) it is not safe (2) cabs will try to take the long way to get places.

To answer others people's questions that I have read - we are renting a car, but doing two different rentals so we do not have to pay for parking.

We are staying at WDW before and after the cruise.

We are also DVC members. Is anyone else a member?

In Nassau the cabbies charge a flat rate. It was under $5.00 for the cab ride. There is a set rate the cabbies can charge mandated by Nassau government. There really isn't a long way on the island. It's pretty small. But they do drive like Chicago cabbies and will run over feet if necessary. I like Nassau! It's a very poor country but once you get past the people asking if you want your hair braided there are some really cute shops and nice people. Atlantis is also pretty neat to see. You just have to be smart and not carry a lot of money with you but I didn't feel any more unsafe than I do here at home.

I am just going to stay on the boat with the kids. My husband is doing the scuba dive at Stuarts cove.

Man I just checked airfare and it is crazy!!! It is over $850 more than what we originally paid.

We got in a deal for the 3 of us from Nevada to Orlando for $999. They said only for 6 tickets. After we bought the tickets. I checked later that day, the same tickets were over $2000. We are flying United. I have noticed the airlines prices going crazy this year. Normally prices stay down. This year they keep going up with no stopping. I wonder why the severe price hike? :confused3

I am so glad I found this deal. I looked every day and was ready to book as soon as it came available.

Kevin & I have been to Nassau so we decided to just walk around with the kids this time.

We're DVCers too. :)

We are DVC Members too :thumbsup2 We own at Bay Lake.

We really enjoyed our time at Nassau, we did the Comfort Suites Atlantis thing, however prices have really gone up this year.

As much as I love the ship I also love sitting on the beach. This year we are doing the Sheraton and paying their day rate for the beach. We do hit a few shops and the girls get a few braids in their hair. I think it is important to support Nassau in the means of shopping.

We own at BWV and HHI. Definitely two of my "happy places." :thumbsup2

We looked into the CS/Atlantis thing but it seemed a lot of money to spend on a water park. We decided to do Typhoon Lagoon instead -- not quite the same thing but the kids are happy.

I like the idea of sitting on a beach. I may have to look into that!

Hi there! Sorry I haven't been around. Between the tornadoes in Alabama that resulted in no power for two weeks, then finishing up school and after school activities and getting everyone somewhat settled for summer, I have had very limited computer time. We have a few long weekend trips planned this summer but no real vacation...so we are REALLY looking forward to October!
