Once Upon A Disney Wish Live Updates

We thought about that as well (inaugural sailing filled before our window opens) but how many 15+ members are out there?? Anyone know?? 2k maybe?? More?? Not sure.
The DCLBlog tweeted that there are 1254 total staterooms on the Wish. I have no idea how many Platinum members there are, but it seems entirely possible that DCL could fill all 1254 staterooms on the maiden voyage with Platinum members.

And it is likely that not all of those rooms will be available to book anyway as there will be VIPs and Disney folks on board for the maiden voyage.

I’m curious to see if there is a large adult area with bars and an adult show room like we have on all the other ships. I don’t really see a spot for it on the deck plans and the Rose bar and Star Wars bar are not in the same location

I really hope we still have something similar

Those VIPs will take up a lot of the Concierge rooms.

they will probably have a vip cruise or two before the passenger MV. They have done that before.

Big same... we'd even snuck an extra sailing in to make platinum and have a chance. HAH. I already emailed my Dreams agent and told her I understand my chances are minimal now and we'll come up with a backup date. I assume this is how it will be going forward and I know there is no way I'm going to get another 5-10 cruises under my belt in two years. Sooooo pretty much getting knocked out of the next two releases also if demand is where I imagine it is for the maidens.

I'm happy for the locals who can sail a ton of short itineraries, don't get me wrong, but those of us who are younger (less years to sail) and live far away from their main ports (I'm on the west coast) are getting pushed aside here.
Super disappointing for this west coaster, too!

I wonder how many platinums will be deterred from the inaugural sailing by the 20% non refundable deposit. I know I am.
I suspect a fair number--especially with the fine print that someone mentioned that you have to cancel and can't move the booking.

So it looks like there may not be a chance to do a B2B with the MV on the Wish. Looks like there is a DVC members only cruise on June 14th thus eliminating a B2B cruise for the general public.

Edit: I tried posting the link, but it seems you have to be logged onto the DVC member site to see it. Here's a screenshot:

Thank you guys so much for posting this. I'm thinking that this DVC cruise may end up being a good consolation prize if I'm blocked out of the maiden voyage by higher-tier platinums. I just looked and I have 13 cruises with another on the books in 2022. Close but no cigar!

Can someone point us to the info on the DVC cruise?? We’re having trouble finding it. Thanks in advance

Not every platinum will want to sail on the maiden voyage. I'm sure many platinum are booked on European cruises over the Summer. I wish no pun intended I could afford the 11 night Baltic and the maiden voyage, but I don't think that's going to be possible. I'm shooting for the cheapest 4 night in September for my son's 18th Birthday.

From the looks of the inside rooms on Disney’s website, there aren't going to be magic portholes. (?) Did they have problems with them on the other ships? Maybe since there are so few inside staterooms they didn’t need/want to create more demand for them?

I think the Deposit on the Fantasy MV was non-refundable.

glad to see the concierge expanded to 3 levels now and they have their own pool area to hang out. Going to be more difficult trying to get a cabana though.

And now less interior cabins. Putting Disney out of reach for more people. :(

I remember seeing Bob Iger and a group of bigwigs heading to the private dining room in Palo on the Fantasy. But, hey, I had a cabin ... and dinner at Palo :)

The description of the interior rooms does list the Magic Porthole. (Or did I? Rechecking now).

I was happy to find they have kept their signature single convertible sofa. The first descriptions I read didn’t mention them. That is my deal breaker. But found it listed on the DCL website as they gave the details of room types.

And then found a picture:

My husband hates it... So he wants to know what periods in the year are the cheapest so we could pay the smallest rate possible for the shortest cruise... (Because I love it.) LOL

Tongue in cheek? Sort of? Do Canadian divorce courts give you half of assets?

September 3-nighter. Hurricane season. Schools are back in session.

I know!! I don't want to hazard a guess on that one. My guess for 1-bedroom is $2000 pp/night (i.e. so roughly $20k for two) and for concierge verandah $1500 pp/night ($15k for two). But I hope I'm wrong!

New Year’s cruise 5-night is $14K for concierge verandah. I think you may be wrong - but not because you guessed high.

I like the timing of the initial Wish itineraries. We have very little desire to be in the Bahamas in the summer, so I hope the summer release sucks up all the upfront demand. We will spend that summer in Europe and then sample the Wish in the fall or over the winter.

Other than the maiden voyage, these are 3- or 4-night Bahamas itineraries. Oh, well. Dream was our least frequented ship for this reason. We can wait.

Found where I read that info:

From the photo, don’t know where they will put it.
