Onboard Discounts

We haven’t cruised for a while and I am ready for onboard shopping! We are platinum castaway club, DVC members, and have Disney VISA. Which has the highest discount?

if we use Disney VISA, does that have to be the card on our account onboard? We have another card we prefer to use for most onboard charges.

To get the Disney Visa discount, yes it must be set up to back your onboard account. You can always stop by Guest Ser ices and make a separate payment (cash, gift card, other credit card) but the default payment must be set to the Disney Visa.

Sorry, I don't know which might be best for shopping. It might be the platinum discount; I don't believe DVC gets any onboard discounts. Disney Visa has a minimum purchase for the discount which doesn't carry across multiple transactions.

Sounds like DVC and Disney Visa are both 10% off with a minimum $50 purchase. I don't know if the platinum CC has a minimum purchase for that 10% discount.

My sister, Gold CC, got a discount - pretty sure it was 10%. Pretty sure it had no minimum - on “select” items. I imagine that meant no expensive watches, jewelry, perfumes or Dooley & Bourke. I had the same savings discount on my notice (Platinum).
