Since the hold time to try to book Disney Transport is 4-8 hours. I just need to book one way back to the airport. Can you do that while onboard?

also in case I want to change my mind, can I book it at the airport? Right now I have a rental car to take back to Port C. It didn’t let me choose the transport option when I booked last week for a cruise in May. It will not let me modify to add it either.

Probably not. I tried to book DCL transfers 3 days before my cruise and I was told that they couldn't be booked so close to departure. They did let me book the return transfer, though, since that was more than 3 days out.

In the past they have allowed DCL Transfers to be booked onboard for return to MCO or WDW resorts. Whether they are allowing that now, I don't know. They also have allowed walk-ups at MCO for transfers to Port Canaveral; though they definitely prefer pre-booking. I don't know when PP tried to add transfers and was denied, so maybe it has changed.

I booked one way transfers on board in Feb 2022. You have to take all parties cruise card to guest services in person. They will charge your cruise account and give you a sticker to put on all cards. PA port to airport.

In February. I had to completely change my cruise when weather cancelled my flight into MCO. So, on Friday night, my travel agent called up DCL and had them book us on a different cruise for Monday. We already had DCL transfers set up for the original Saturday morning departure, but DCL wouldn't transfer them to the Monday departure and they also wouldn't refund them and let us book new ones for Monday. We had to take private transportation to the port. We were told that transfers couldn't be booked that close to departure.

Maybe it's different when they would have to say no in person instead of over the phone, though!

I’m in the same boat (ship?) with needing one way transfer from the port to MCO. If I can’t book the DCL transfer on board I will book a Go Port transfer online when we are at a port. My OCD planning brain doesn’t like not having this prearranged but I can’t deal with 6 hours on hold for a 2 minute transaction.

If you call just as the phone lines open, the wait should be much shorter. You can also keep refreshing the DCL page and hope to get lucky with the chat being available. There should be a little chat tab on the right-hand side of the page. It'll usually say that all cast members are busy, but even now and then you might that chat is available!

My experiences calling right when the phone lines open last week was not that at all total of 17 hours spread over 4 calls (two failed calls where I had to give up after multi-hour waits, two completed calls because they didn't fix the issue correctly the first time so I had to call back the next day). It is just next level crazy right now.

Fortunately, OP, I have an answer for you: one of my calls was about my DCL transfers and one of the CMs I talked to last week mentioned that return transfers to the airport can be booked on the cruise. This was for a cruise out of Miami, but the CM expressed it as a general purpose statement. Always possible the phone CM was wrong, but that's what I was told.

While on a cruise 2 weeks ago we booked the DCL bus to take us from the Magic to MIA . Before the cruise we stayed at a hotel that had DCL bus pickup. The CM in charge of the bus, who had a desk in the hotel lobby, told us we could book the bus transfer on the spot. We already had arranged our own transportation, but I gathered in our discussion that it depends on how filled the bus is.
