We are sailing in May. If they offer any type of onboard discount for future booking, what is the usual amount of time you have to take your next cruise? Six months is just sooner than my budget would allow. 2 years would definitely be doable. Anyone know anything about current offers, details?

I just happen to have the card that was left in our room with the prices at work with me today!!!! We just sailed on the 2/23/02 Magic on the card was left in our room on Wednesday or Thursday.

Here is the exact wordage on the card:

When we talked to the DCL rep onboard he said the rates were based on Category 11's. The prices went up to $899 for a Cat 9 for the seven day.

Hope this helps.......MJ

We sailed last week and the deal was good for various dates similar to the previous post but also included dates after the Easter time period for 2003. We booked on the first 7-day cruise after Easter which was 4/26/03 (western). The onboard bookings during our cruise included a $200 credit, not a $150. I did notice however that we didn't save anything extra by booking onboard. The cost of the cruise is the same as booking through Disney's website (with early booking savings) but you do get the $200 stateroom credit. I'll keep an eye out to make sure the price isn't cheaper before we sail (like with the springtime savings they have this year).

The price list showed the "brochure price" vs. the onboard offer price and the associated savings. Does anyone really pay the brochure price?

Our cat 6 room was $1349pp vs. (I think) $2399pp. You definitely save if you have 3 or 4 in a room as the pp charge was only $599 for the 3rd/4th.

Hi
Was wondering if you booked the cruise while onboard, get the onboard credit and then transfer the booking to DU would you get the rebate from DU AND the onboard Credit?

Did you have to pay for the cruise right there or put a cash deposit down right then? If not, when did they expect a deposit.

I booked the cruise and payed the $200pp deposit ($400, only 2 of us) at the time of the reservation.

Do note that if you are booking onboard this would be the one time you actually need your credit card and not your KTTW card. They pull up your existing stateroom/reservation and cand copy all the info, but they can't pull over the credit info. Donna, the cruise booking person, said she'd had lots of complaints about it (of course totally beyond her control). We had stopped by before dinner and then came back up after dinner with the credit card to complete the process.

And yes, I've already transferred my reservation to DU. I just did it through their website. I'd give you the exact link but my email is down now! :( I did hear them ask the people booking (in line in front of us) if they wanted to use the same travel agent, so if you booked your current reservation through DU they might already have it go to them. We had booked through DCL directly so I just did the transfer after we got home.

One other note...there were some computer problems (maybe printer problems?) the night we were booking which was the last night of the cruise. Donna couldn't print a confirmation and said she'd either send one to our room or mail us one. I didn't see/hear anything after a few days so I went ahead and called DCL to get my confirmation # and then did the DU transfer. DCL couldn't "find" us at first, but eventually they did. Besides, I knew the $400 was already charged to my credit card, so we had to be in there somewhere!!

HAVE FUN! :)

Joe & Joanne, yes, you would get the Dreams rebate on a cruise transferred to Dreams that you booked onboard. :)
