Mushroom sauce is okay, not that I've had it in a while.

I always add just add salt and black pepper. That is all a good steak needs.

I marinate my steaks, usually for 2 days. What I use depends on my mood, but I use garlic, other spices, lemon juice, soy sauce, marsala wine, oregano, pepper, olive oil, etc. Occasionally, I'll use beer and sometimes instant coffee. It tastes sooooo good and rarely needs anything else to eat it.

I looove BBQ sauce on my steak. But I had a steak in a restaurant recently with a wild mushroom marsala reduction. That was very yummy.

marinated for at least 24 hours with soy sauce, garlic and Italian dressing.
Served with sauteed mushroom

Anything other than salt and pepper ruins a good steak. If I'm eating a poor cut of steak, I might marinade it to help it as much as I can.

Though I WILL say that I like a good filet with some blue cheese or gorgonzola crumbles nearby. But not a sauce smothering it.

Onion and garlic salts are added before cooking. Lately we also use Tastefully Simple's "Everyday Grillin" in addition to the salts.

Normal good steak? Minimal seasonings. As a treat? Bearnaise sauce.

Gotta admit - NEVER tried flank steak in my 50+ years, but found an amazing marinade for grilling on allrecipes.com and OMG!!!! We've been grilling it every week and I could eat it every day!!!!

Ketchup.... and I like it seasoned with Montreal Steak seasoning, and absolutely smothered in fried onions, with some mushrooms.

Steak seasoning before grilling--Nothing else. Maybe some sauteed mushrooms/onions on the side--YUM

Cooked medium with a nice bit of dijon mustard on the side to add every now and then to a bite :)

Salt/Pepper and ketchup, but last nights steak was so tender I skipped the ketchup.

DH only uses salt/pepper

Grilled medium with salt and pepper or sprinkled with garlic pepper.
