On to healthy living......

Today was a good day at the gym. Weights and cardio. I had to make up for the 2 days I just took off. It felt good to be back but good to take a break too!;) Food has been pretty OP except for dinner. I had 2 pieces of pizza. Quick and good. OP for water. I'll get to journals tomorrow. Have a good noc.:D

I know what you mean about adults. They can be a real pain, just today we had a cable damaged by a backhoe. There was a phone pedestal less than 5 feet from where they dug. I asked the guy if he realized how close he was and if he called Before-u-dig and he said "No, its easier just to cut the cable and you guys can come fix it" Potentially he could have knocked out 150 customers, but he doesn't care about anyone but himself! Makes me angry.

Anyway, great news on your health, keep it up! Doesn't it feel great to be getting healthier?!

Dax

Hi Wilderness,

I would say that your weightloss and exercise habits are probably the major contributing factor to you lowered cholesterol. If you want to try without the meds, try 60 days, and then retest the levels. Good Luck, and great job.

I understand about not wanting to work with adults. I can't work with kids. It is too difficult for me to leave that at work. I can go home after my shift, and leave the patients there. During my peds rotation, I cried all the time.

Have a good one,
Beth

Hey Wilderness,

The guy won't be fined, our bud tends to be toothless unless they are perennial repeat offenders, they will however get a bill for the damage from us.

I know what you mean about the fertilizer. We sodded around a retaining wall that we put in last year and I killed alot of the sod. Oops!

Did you say 240 sit-ups????? I :faint: just thinking about it! Congratulations!

Have a good day,
Erin

Hi wilderness!

I'm just checking on you. It sounds like you are doing well. Congrats on your cholesterol! I'm sure diet and exercise were the major factors in getting your level down.

Keep up the great work and have a wonderful weekend! :sunny:

 Wilderness,

You were trying to do something nice for the kids, solo might I add, and it wasn;t appreciated. I am so sorry. It is so frustrating when you do something special and then the kids don't appreciate it, and thing turn ugly. I don't think you sound like a bad Mom. You sound like a frustrated Mom. We've ALL been that. I think it is wise of ou to go out to dinner by yourself. Enjoy the quiet. I hope work is uneventful for you, and that you can get some quality sleep tonight.
Beth

Btw, I work contingent. Weekend nights so that I don't have to put Katie into daycare. When Katie is in school fulltime, I will probably work Tues, wed, thursday nights.

wilderness,
 for you. It is so hard when we as parents try to do something nice for our kids and they don't really appreciate it. I think that leaving for work early and going to dinner was a great idea. We all need that "down time" every once in awhile.

I'm glad that speaking to one of your co-workers about the situation helped, too. Sometimes as a stay at home mom, I feel isolated from the rest of the world and wonder if everyone else is going through this or is it just me? Talking to my friends assures me that I am not alone and that helps me feel so much better!

I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday! Take care!

:wave2: Hi Wilderness,
Sorry this is a little late but -- WTG on 26 pounds!! :jumping1: :thewave: :rockband: And it's so great that your levels are dropping due to your new healthy lifestyle ::yes:: .

I think that we all have those days with our kids (and I only have one, I can't imagine three lol :D ) where we just need some space. I'm glad you took some time to go out to dinner before work and vent with a co-worker.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday  .
