On the Busses

Hi i'm going off to Disney July and we're stopping at ASMo, i was just wpndering when the busses came and how late they came back from DTD! Also will i have to sit thru the Disney Hotel tour before i get to the parks??!!

Hi!! I'm sure you're excited to be planning for your trip!!

We stayed at ASMo last week, and had so much fun!! We were very pleased with the buses. They seemed to arrive for the various parks about every 10 minutes or so. There was only one time when the wait seemed very long (probably 20 minutes) for MK.

As for sitting through a tour, they don't really do any type of tour. It's just a very peaceful ride along the main streets of Disney. You can see some of the resorts along the way, but you don't hear any spiel about them.

I've found that Disney busses are usually there every 10-15 minutes or so. Waits are not too bad and the rides are not too long.

However, I stayed off site for the first time this past month because a large time share was available to me. I rented a car ($300 for 10 days for a mid size) and I will likely rent a car in the future whenever I can afford to, because I like the convience of it. I also timed my drive from my driveway at the timeshare to the parking lot at MGM. It took 11 minutes start to stop. I know that Disney busses take longer than that.

But I digress...

I have never had a problem with the busses during my onsite stays. I have never even really had to deal with overcrowded busses, they tend to control that pretty well, and if you come and go at "off times" you should be fine.

I think the most hotels any one bus will stop at is one or two if that. Each bus tends to focus on only a few places. That's how they keep it so efficient.
