We are on the 10/8 Fantasy and I'm keeping an eye on the storm. I am worried about flying into MCO dependent on where the storm at the time. I guess time will tell.
DCL posted a new itinerary on their website for the October 3rd Disney Dream sailing:

Tropical Weather Update
October 2, 2016
Disney Cruise Line is monitoring the weather conditions and predicted path of Hurricane Matthew closely.
The October 2, 2016, Disney Magic sailing itinerary remains unchanged.
The October 3, 2016, Disney Dream sailing will now sail to the western Caribbean and feature a stop in Cozumel, Mexico. The revised itinerary is below:
October 3 – Port CanaveralWhile it’s still too early to tell if any future itineraries will need to be adjusted due to Hurricane Matthew, we are always prepared to visit alternate ports or spend days at sea to ensure the safety and comfort of our Guests. We will continue to provide updates as they are available
October 4 – Day at Sea
October 5 – Cozumel, Mexico
October 6 – Day at Sea
October 7 – Port Canaveral Florida
We are on the Dream for tomorrow's cruise and are bummed about the itinerary change. We love CC. However, I've been on the other side of the equation, worrying about family on a cruise in hurricane waters. Our adult children are relieved. Cozumel will he new for us, so I am looking at it as another adventure!
Got it. We are also flying Wednesday, but from PVD. I'm going to keep a very close eye on tracks and watch for travel advisories that open up for flight changes (will go early if warranted.) I've been doing a ton of reading on what happens with a a Hurricane, and the reports from Hurricane Joaquin last year give me comfort that DCL will make the cruise as special as possible - even if we miss CC.
But like others have said, the tracks can change so quickly and so much, that I'm just watching.
@meuseman - we're also supposed to fly tomorrow AM (wed) Boston -
Orlando. Curious if you guys are proceeding as planned. I spoke with Disney today and they are not allowing modifications at this time, but it looks really bad? -your neighbors from Bridgewater MA
We are moving ahead as planned. The cruise is part of a Land-Sea-Land vacation. We have mapped out potential scenarios and are planning what we would do in each case.@meuseman - we're also supposed to fly tomorrow AM (wed) Boston -

1) Cruise is cancelled - We work to find lodging in WDW for Fri-Mon.
2) Cruise is postponed by a day, leaving from PC - We find a night in WDW and drive out to PC on Sat for a 2 night cruise
3) Cruise is diverted (likely to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale) - we rent a second car, one way, to drive to FLL on Friday am and figure out a way from PC to WDW on monday.
4) Dream gets into PC late on Fri, delaying departure - We bring snacks and games to PC to deal with delay
The goal here is to make the best of a challenging situation. We have the trip insurance to cover needed extraneous costs. We have AP's so extra days in the parks are covered. We are working with our kids to help them learn how to address adversity and build resiliency in the face of unchangeable circumstances.
Pretty sure if the Dream diverts coming in DCL will provide transportation to and from the new port. No need to rent a car to drive there.
This might be a stupid question but it's too late to buy trip insurance correct? Since the hurricane has been named.
