O soo confused...We are going to WDW. We usually stay off site and rent a car. We stay in 2 bedroom suites typically so my 17 yr old has privacy from the 2 yr old.

But with magic bands and fastpass plus, should we stay onsite? Moderate hotel is actually 700 dollars cheaper but it is small. No sofa, no bedrooms.

Any advice or opinions DISers?

Can't speak from perspective of fast pass and magic bands, but we always stay offsite in a vacation home and it cost the same if not LESS than a moderate. The houses we rent are literally a five-8 minute drive to the parks!! PM me if you want info about who we use. The last time we had a 5 bedroom house three TV"s, too- important with teens :) with its own pool for $150 a night!!! We have used the same rental company about 5 times now!

We rent from VRBO. They have thousands of condos and houses in the area some starting as low as 60$ I will never be able to make myself spend the money it cost to stay onsite. I work third shift as a nurse and work way to hard for my money. If you stay off site you have to reserve fastpasses when you arrive at the park. Onsite guest reserve months ahead so I don't know if any "good" rides will be avaliable if you stay off site now. Sad Day.

I agree..we are staying in 4 bed condo less than 2 miles from WDW for $530 for 5 nights. No brainer for us.

We stay off property too but had the same dilemma because we wanted the magic bands.... the solution was easy. We stayed one night in the Pop Century and we got the magic bands to start our trip. Once you have the bands you can use them for any days with a ticket that have been attached to your MB to make all the FP+ reservations. It was great!

Stay off site and pay for one night at a value resort. Then you get MB and FP+ for the length of your tickets including booking FP+ 60 days for about $100 cost of the one night at the hotel.

We stay off site for space not to save money. Nothing would get us on site, but if things stay as is on FP+ for off site we will book a night at a value and pay for that night to get the perk of booking FP+ for the length of our trip. For our family of 5 that is $20 a person extra for the week we stay..and that is worth it for us to not have to stand in line at kiosks and hope we get the rides we want.

I vote on site POR alligator bayou for the extra bed..I love staying on site and all the perks. I work very hard and like to not worry about driving, airport, etc. when we are there. Just mho...everyone likes to spend money their own way. I love the magic of being immersed. I cannot wait to go again.

OOOOOOOOhhhhhhh......

I didn't realize about the 1 night onsite option. I've been struggling back and forth for weeks on whether to stay on or off, but you just made my decision. Friday night onsite, then Sat to Sat in a house in Windsor Hills.

THANK YOU!
