On-site guests booking FP+ times for/with off-site friends at 60 days

We are staying in a LM room at AoA in October and have friends staying offsite. We had assumed we would be able to make our FP+ reservations at 60 days, but that they would have to wait until the 30 day mark.

My 60-day window opened up last night at midnight. Just for the heck of it, I tried to book FP+ times for all of us; the four of us who are staying onsite, and my three friends who are not (they do have park tickets linked in MDE and we are all on each others' "Friends and Family" list). To my surprise, I was able to book all of our FP+ reservations for all seven of us.

I have never seen that scenario mentioned here on the boards (but maybe I haven't been paying attention and it's old news and common knowledge?), but I found it surprising and interesting and definitely wanted to share here.

Don't know if it's a glitch/loophole type thing, or if it's a courtesy they purposely offer their on-site guests (the ability to tour/share FP+ times with off-site friends), but I am very glad that we were able to!

I think it it just another Disney "glitch".

I was able to do the same thing for my July reservation. At the 60 day mark, I made FP+ reservations for everyone in my MDE family account, even though only half of us were on the actual DVC reservation (all AP holders).

Fast forward to last week. I tried to do the same thing for my September trip, and I was only able to reserve FP+ reservations for the family members on my BWV reservation. My MDE account told me that I could make FP+ reservations for my other family members at the 30 day mark - when AP holders normally can make reservations.

No rhyme or reason that I can figure.
