I had planned to stay at Residenced Inn Sea World when we visit next year. However I am reconsidering...

The Residence Inn has great reviews on another website and looks fab HOWEVER - it's not in the resort and as we're only in Orlando for 7 days, I want to be as close to Disney as possible. We will be visiting Universal but we wont be doing Sea World (cos we were in the San Diego one this year).

So can you help please......:confused:

The hotel I am considering is the Caribbean Beach Resort. Has anyone stayed here? What's the transport like?? How easy is it to pop back to the hotel in the afternoon?? Do they offer any Disney magic (when we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim there was a free tuck down service and they left Disney coins on the pillows (kids loved that!)) What about soaps etc are they in mickey mouse packages?

What about fireworks, can you see them from the resort??

All sounds a bit silly but its those wee touches that make your holiday more magical!

With just a short stay at Orlando I would agree that on site is going to be a more convenient way to go, particularly as you're going to spend most of your time on Disney.

I haven't stayed at the Caribbean Beach myself, I did visit a friend staying there who was very happy with everything, although I didn't think the way the resort was split up into small units worked for me. It a question of taste, I would prefer Port Orleans out of the Moderates for a family break and Coronado Springs for adults alone or with older kids. But overall I don't think there's much to choose betwen any of the mods, I'd probably pick whichever one I got the best deal on

I agree with Vernon, some of the areas in CBR are a long walk from bus stops and food courts.

We loved Caribbean Beach Resort :)

We stayed in the Martinique section ClickHere for a resort map. It was only a little walk to the food court, as is Jamaica, Aruba and Trinidad North.

We found it easy to pop back in the afternoon for a rest or swim. Transport here was good and each 'village' has its own bus stop.

There is no tuckdown service at any of the Moderate resorts but they do have Mickey Soap and Shampoo :)

We could see a little of the top of Illuminations from the beach, not much though.

Here is a link to the DIS Caribbean Beach Resort Page with lots of info from the links at the top of the page as well as a video of the resort.

HTH :teeth:

Thanks guys.

Did think about Port Orleans Vernon. Paul and Shirley - hope you have a great trip and you can let me know how you get on.

Kaylee thsnks for all the info and for the links. Off to have a look now!
