Has anyone ever signed up through a site to do on-line surveys for cash (or gift certificates, etc.)? I thought this might be a good thing to do on my lunch hour or spare time to get some extra cash for our Disney trip. If you've done this, could you refer me to some reputable sites or warn me against scams? I don't want to be too nieve and get myself in a mess! I have used www.opinionplace.com in the past to earn AAdvanatage airline miles and have accumulated several hundred miles through this site.

Which surveys pay the most?I belong to some survey groups and it seems to take forever to accumulate any $$$!

If anyone here is a doctor, or is married to one, there are a number of online survey sites for doctors that pay extremely well. I earn a few thousand dollars a year just doing surveys (that includes online, by mail and in person). Just last nite I did a 2-hour focus group meeting 10 minutes from my house for $200. Its not unusual to get $50-100 for an online survey. If anyone wants more info or specific companies to contact, let me know.

Lets see, the most elusive of all in Pinecone.

I'm told, very hard to get into and they pay well too.

As for Momto4 lists...

I have done at least four on that list, and the four that Ihave done do pay.

Also don't forget college research studies as well.. I have done stuff for local colleges and some online studies as well with this method.

You did not include on your list

www.greenfieldonline.com

I have been paid by all but two of the sites i have on the list above and the only reason i haven`t been paid by those two are because i haven`t reached payout yet (i just started doing them) but i know they pay because of people on the rewards boards i go on. The two are clickiq and viewpointforum.

I personally don't like the click sites for cash sites.. to me, thats a lot of time to earn maybe a nickel a day..

I like surveys better, its quicker, easier, and hey, you get to test product too...

Well, in my experience, survey sites are a little tricky.

First you sign up, then according to your demographics, you get selected for surveys.

Then the surveys come in, you do them. Sometimes in the midst of the survey, you do not qualify and you get a "Sorry, but you are not qualified..."...say if its a survey about wine, and you are a beer drinker.. well, you can't really contribute to the wine survey..

Then you get paid. Sometimes its very quick, and some pay via Paypal.. (gozing does this, but it takes about 6 weeks for the money! But hey its money)

U30 used to give away amazon gift certificates, and those were pretty instantaenous. Greenfieldonline sends a paper check after you request a cash out. (I cashed my greenfield at $5, some wait for $10 or twenty.. but I'd rather have my money in hand)

But to answer your question, it all depends on the company.

As someone else said, it all depends on the company and how well you fit into the demographics of their clients. Your best bet is to sign up with as many survey companies as you can. Also, when you get a survey email you need to jump on it immediately. Many surveys only have room for a certain number of partipants, so if you snooze you lose.

Pinecone is wonderful, but you have to find one of their advertising banners to sign up, you can't do it at their website. Also, it is against their terms of service for members to post links to their banners, so it can be tough to sign up with them. Worth the effort though--they pay within days.

Another site I like is http://www.consumercorner.com This is Proctor & Gamble's marketing site. I got to do an online research group with them once that paid $20.

BTW, Internet surveys are easy and convenient, but in-person focus groups pay alot more. Definitely call any marketing research firms in your area and get in their database. I've made $100 for a 2-hour focus group on more then one occasion.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my earlier post. The medical surveys I was referring to are for the doctor, not for the doctor's spouse. I just meant that if your spouse is a doctor you can get him or her to do the surveys to raise some extra cash.

Here are a few sites to check out for physician surveys. Some pay cash. Some give merchandise certificates or earn points toward merchandise. Some do a combination of things. The most lucrative of these is the last one. I'm signed up with them for an ongoing series of surveys. Completing them all over the course of a year pays $1600.

There are also numerous in-person survey companies but I suspect they are all local companies. Two that I work with are Plaza Research in Marlton, NJ and Schlessinger Associates in Philadelphia. I know Plaza has some other locations in the US. I don't know about Schlessinger. I found out about both of them purely by accident - they faxed invitations to my office. Tell your doctor spouses to not ignore those faxes.

I have also done number of dinner programs from pharmaceutical companies that pay an honorarium for attending and sharing my opinions, usually $100-200 plus dinner. Ask the sales reps if their companies offer these types of programs.

I just signed up for viewpointsforum.com and I just started and earned pts for a survey on myself. that is start. :D

thanks for the input on surveys. I have often wondered about these sights:D

I do the Pinecone ones, and they don't take anytime at all to pay!!
Of course all of the money goes into my REBATES/COUPON money account...... :teeth:

That pinecone site would really be worth checking out. I have been to there site and read about it but can never seem to track down one of their banners. I guess I better keep looking!!

Thanks momto4obkids, I signed up for as many that would take me! LOL, some aren't open to non-US residents.

ACO did forward me on to an Executive Survey form, which pays out more many. :Pinkbounc

Thank you!
