Just a few questions regarding disneyland
Having never been(normally visit Florida), after our 2005 trip DH has relented and said we can do disneyland 2006(combining it with sight seeing that he wants to do!)
Anyway questions are.....

Where do you all buy your passes from for disneyland.

How big is it in comparison to Florida WDW?

How far away is universal to disneyland?

Can Florida AP's for universal be used for Universal in California?

Wheres a nice hotel to stay?, is disneys grand californian hotel good??(im a disney CM so can get discounted rates).

In relation to florida, how long realistically do you need to visit to do the park justice?

Any help or advice apreciated.

I buy my Disneyland passes at the Disney Store or the hotel I am staying at or at Disney's front gate.

Disneyland is currently using about 400 acers for all its parks, hotels, shopping and parking.

Universal is about 45 minutes (in the olden days) to an hour and fifteen minutes north of Disneyland.

The Grand Californian was designed by the architect that did the Wilderness Lodge and the AKL so it is indeed very nice. Its location surpasses any of the WDW hotels though. It took us a minute to two minutes to get from our room into the California Adventure park. The walk to Disneyland is about 5-7 minutes or faster if you rush. The Disneyland hotel is a fun place to stay as well. It is older but the rooms are bigger than the GC and the decore has many more Disney Touches.

This link shows you the area and how compact it is. It shows the location of the Disney Hotels and the closeness of the offsite accomodations. If you need to stay someplace less expensive you can do well just across the street.

To see everything at both parks with out rushing to muchh you need 3 full days. If you want to relaxe and spend time at the hotel and downtown Disney you will need 4 full days. % would be great!!!

I buy my passes from AAA.

Compared to the entire WDW resort, DLR is small. But it is in the middle of a metropaliton area (Anaheim). You litterally walk every where on property (exeption being from the parking garage to the DTD). But the best part is that you CAN walk between the parks and to DTD for dinner.

I would give your self at least an hour and a half to get to Univesal with traffic.

No clue about the AP's my guess would be that they are not good.

Money no object the Grand Californian is the place to stay. Otherwise there are decent hotel on Harbor that will save a you more then a pretty penny and give you just as quick access to the parks as either of the other on site hotels. GC is theonly hotel closer then those on Harbor.

IMO, you need at least 3 days (& and a hopper) to do the resort justice, if you want to take it slow or do a lot of shopping at DTD or in the parks, you need 4 - 5 days.

Is there any ticket company that I can use that ships to the UK and is reasonably prices, I dont want to leave it till I actually get there to purchase tickets.
