Hi .. I have purchased on board credit with some gift cards. I have two questions.. first will the credit be applied to my stateroom or only MY charges. Meaning will the on board credit go to my stateroom room bill to include the purchasers my husband makes?

Second… in the small chance lol I do no use all of the onboard credit does the balance not used go to my credit card??

Thanks as always in advance!!

Good questions:
1. When you purchased the OBC, you did it in your name. In order for this to be a wash, when you check in, insure that you/your husband clicks the box that you/he assumes all purchases by the other in the "On Board Account" section. That's what I do for DW (& the kids when they used to cruise with us) so that the OBC becomes a 'room OBC' instead of 'mine'...which is think is your goal.

2. Any OBC not used, will verrrrryyyyy sllloooowwwllly be refunded to the original payment source. I joke, but the one time I did have excess, it took a few weeks to get the money back.

As noted above, if you and your husband share the same payment method, then the credit will apply to both of you on your room account. If you use, for example, 2 different credit cards, then the credit will apply only to you.

If you don't have room charges that equal or exceed the amount of the credit, then the remaining credit amount may be reimbursed on the gift card(s) used. So, be sure to keep the cards after you make the payment.

You could also have just held onto the gift cards and give them to guest services to apply to your onboard account while onboard. That way if for some reason your account total is less than the value of the gift cards, the balance automatically remains on the gift card. Hold onto the original gift cards until you know for sure that you spent up all the OBC.

Definitely hold onto the gift cards you used as the money will go back on to the cards. I got mine back in 4 days! I was surprise how fast that happened!
