We own at BCV and we are considering adding onto AKLV when they start selling. If we add on to AKLV do we do another set of mantence fees since we are adding onto another resort?

My understanding is that you pay maint. fees per point. So you pay the fees of the resort you add on for those additional points that you added only. Does that make sense?

That does make since. If we add on 100 pts then we pay maint fee's for the 100 pts. It doesnt matter what resort your adding onto.

You pay the MF's rate that the resort your buying into. Lets say you bought BWV is Ex: 5.25 PP. so multily that by 100points.

You would pay the BCV dues on your BCV points and AKV dues on your AKV points. The dues would be different for each resort.

IMHO...
I own @ the BCV and also added on at the BCV....because it is one of the smallest DVC's and I wanted all my eggs in 1 basket.

I see that the AKV will be "almost" as large as OKW...with that in mind..I don't see much trouble getting a 7th mo. ressie there ( I dont go X-ms time anymore..can't see going to Fla. and taking my down jacket )

I just went over Thanksgiving, and wish I'd brought mine.
Thank goodness the wall to wall people kept me warm.
We got to leave the day after Thanksgiving when it really WAS warm.

There is NO official word that this is true. In fact..per my guide, expect both to be selling simultaneously for a while

Since the end to the current incentive @ SSR has NOT been announced yet...he's probably got a handle on whats really happening.

They have sold more than one resort at a time in the past and I imagine they will be doing that again. When I purchased OKW, they were also selling BWV and I think there may have been another one available when I purchased BCV. The bigger question for me is when can I make a reservation there? It would seem that unless there is a lot of work being done on the 5th and 6th floors we won't be staying there on points until fall at least.

I can't speak for DVC or DVD but I doubt it has to be sold out and it won't be before AKL starts selling. But I'm sure they want as much sold as possible as it will likely be much harder to sell after VAK is announced.

I will have some affect but I doubt that much as the demand will certainly be much higher than VB, HH, OKW & SSR overall. It's still fairly small compared to DVC in general. This may help a little at 7 months out but for higher demand times after than, count on it being just as difficult as the rest. BWV is still fairly difficult and it's just a little smaller than AKL will be.
