Well, thought I was safe from this one, but my DD just made her list and Zhu Zhu pets are on it. Blah!!

So, what's the deal here? We stalk Target everyday? I'm so not looking forward to this. I do have a Target literally right down the block, but I just don't want to have to go EVERYday.

Anyway, guess I'm here for the ride with the rest of you. Worst case, she gets some for her birthday in April.

Does anyone know if the exercise wheel will work by itself? A friend of mine found the wheel but does not have the funhouse. Is it going to work, or should she return it???

i got one zhu zhu pet and the funhouse. i think that's a great combo to give. i was afraid i couldn't find accessories to the only one zhu zhu that tru sold me but i did!!!

OK.....I went to TRU over the weekend to get a bed, a car, a ball something!!! when i got there they were out of accessories (they had no limit) I was able to get 2 grey hamsters (they had a limit on those) i dont need as i already have 2 others and my kids really only need one each. I AM NOT LOOKING TO MAKE A PROFIT! I would love to maybe do an even swap. Maybe if you have an extra bed they are like 10 bucks ill swap you for a hamster. I just am soo tired of going to a million places to only find I am too late. If your intersted PM me

Has anyone seen the Starter Set with Patches anywhere...except Ebay?? I have never seen it in Walmart, Target or TRU....so I am wondering where people are getting them from

I found mine (well DD's) at Shopko for $19.99 now when they get them in they're $24.99

It really depends on the child. I would say they are best suited for the 4-8 age group, but in my case I'm shopping for DD8 and DD10. The youngest one asked for them first, and then she showed her sister the commercial later, and she told me it would be really cool to have some of those, since I never let her have the real hamster she always wanted.
DD10 may tire of them quickly, and will probably never admit that she plays with them to her friends, who will probably have them too and not admit it either, since they are all trying to act grown up here lately. But, since this is probably the last year she will actually ask for a "TOY", other than video games, I'm trying my best to humor her, and let her get what she wants. They grow up so quick.
Maybe your friend is in the same boat, her girls are at that age where, this may be the last year for toy shopping, next time it will be make-up and clothes, which isn't half as much fun.
My girls didn't ask for everything Zhu-Zhu related, just a few hamsters and some accessories, but I have had so much fun, on the "HUNT", that I have ended up getting nearly everything that they have released so far, (except the starter set with Patches, and I can't find that thing anywhere!) Sure the little critters will be thrown under the bed or in the closet after a few weeks, but oh well. Mom's had fun, DD8 will know that Santa really is real, if he can get his hands on these things, and DD10 will know that Mom really will do anything for them.

Yep, that's the way it is at our house. DD9 will be 10 this spring & she & DS7 both have asked for them. Plus DD had asked several times for a hamster but they would not do well with our dogs. I know I'm running out of toy years so I joined the hunt. I got them the house & car to share w/1 guy each.

She also asked for the LPS Adoption Center. She doesn't seem to care if they are "not cool" anymore so I bought that too - good sale at Target. DD15 went through a final kid phase around age 10 too so I'm enjoying them while it lasts. My kids really are on the younger side as far as innocence at their age. Neither has an ipod, cell or anything other than a gameboy color & a plug in radio. I hope to keep them kid like as long as possible!

Shopko has them? Great! I don't shop at Wal*Mart and the TRU is on the other side of town while I have 3 Shopko's within a few miles of me.

I was able to add a 3 pack to my cart from TRU yesterday and then I paid and everything and then it gave me a message that they were then out of stock. So now I have a hold on my CC, but no zhu zhu's

Grr...

Guess I'll have to keep hunting!

It's so frustrating...

TRU is a big pain in the behind...
However they seem to be the only ones who keep getting intermittent stock. Wal-mart, Target, everybody else seems to be bone dry.

I don't wonder if Wal-mart, target, etc are not getting smaller shipments and are holding on to them until they get a larger stock pile?

Went to TRU yesterday and of course the shelves were empty, but there was a lady stocking close by so I stopped and asked her if she knew when they might get another shipment in and she said yes but they weren't allowed to tell costumers specific dates. So now my sister and I are going to have to check TRU everyday to see if we can find the one remaining item we're missing (activity ball) for my niece's set.

Hope everyone else is having some luck...
