I am surprised by that. Here at our Targets they are locked up (well, not that they have any, but when they do hey are locked up). You have to ask for them and they are limiting them to (I think it's) 2. We got one at TRU, that was the limit there. I would have said something to her too, and that isn't like me normally but you know when you have that many it is to resell them. I suspect with so many out of work this is only going to get worse.

Absolutely nuts here in Jersey!! I was fortunate enough to get all the hamsters and accessories in October for my girls but I have been helping a friend find all the fun house accessories too. I go past 4 TRU's in the am and they are always out....I go ask customer service and while I am standing there the phone is ringing and I can hear the response 'we have no Zhu Zhu's'.

This am I tried again because I was told the truck comes on Thrusday nights. Called one TRU and I could hear tons of noise in the background....was told they only got 15 accessories and people were fighting over them!! I called another TRU at 8:30 and the message says it doesn't open until 9:30. Head over there and come to find out that they opened at 9am!! They moved the placement of the Zhu Zhu pets so I couldn't find them...then I see the empty shelf in the middle of the aisle An employee saw me and said they flew off the shelf as soon as the store opened (limit of 4 per person). He was nice enough to scan the tags on the shelf and told me that there was an accessory floating around in the store somewhere....probably in another shoppers cart. So I decided to walk around and look for other ideas for the holidays and there they were, sitting on a random shelf far away from the Zhu Zhu section.....the car/garage, the slide, and the wheel!!! I was so excited I grabbed them and paid for them and even the cashier was quite suprised that I found them.... I felt strange because people were watching me, I could tell they were there for the same thing. My girlfirend is thrilled, her boys will be happy, and I can say my 'hunt' is now complete!!

And FWIW, speaking to a TRU employee, he said they will not get anymore hamsters unless it is in the weekly ad. He said if you see them in the flyer, then we will get the hamsters, if not, they will only get the accessories.

I would ask customer service when you walk in....I heard that some stores have them in electronics behind the counter....

Went to Target yesterday and saw a woman with a cart FULL of all the hamsters and accessories. She took them all. This Target doesn't have a limit on how many you can purchase. I let her know what I thought of her taking them all.....ok, I am not nice.

That's what they were doing at my Target -- NO limits, so one lady bought everything for a few weeks. Then today, my Dh went to another Target in the area and they limited it to ONE Zhu Zhu item per person. That's taking it a little far, IMO! I started another thread about that!

Well that is very true, believe me I won't be buying any off eBay. Unfortunately many will though. That would sure teach them though if no one bought them and they were stuck with piles of them.

No, they have the electronic lock on them right on the isle, at least our stores anyway. When we go we see the locks on the empty rack.

We have had an endcap at our Walmart of these for over a week now. They have the hamster car and one other accessory....maybe the ball. I can't remember. They also have a bunch of the blankets/clothes. They only got one shipment of the hamsters, though. And we don't have a TRU or CVS around here.....

So let me say I have not read this whole thread, but I can commiserate with everyone. You all will understand my pain, so here is my story . I bought many of the accessories a month or more ago and still needed the hamsters. I too have called Target and TRU a few times, tried websites that are always "out of stock", and stalked TRU before opening one morning. Still no hamsters.

Last weekend was my bday weekend and the MIL took the kids Sat night. I got word online that Wal-mart would have them in the Sunday ad. So my hubby and I go to one of the 3 near our house around 11:00 pm and are told they won't sell them until 8 am - come back and stand in line at 7 am. On the way home we call another store and they said they were selling them. We get there right at 12 am and are like 10th in line in the toy aisle and a worker comes out with only a few accessories. Seems someone upacking freight put the hamsters out at 10 pm and they were sucked off the shelves before Sunday even arrived!

So we went home and set the alarm for 6:30 am. Got back to the original Wal-mart at 7 am. I am 18th in line and hubby is 19th. They are selling 2 hamsters per person and bringing them out "secret cover" in the sporting goods department right at 8 am. By the time it's my turn there are 3 white hamsters left. We don't want white, but I take two not knowing if I'll ever get any others. Hubby gets out of line and lets the guy behind him have the last one b'c he only needs one.

THEN we are headed to get breakfast and I say let's stop by TRU. They are supposed to have them in their ad today and they open even later. We get there and I'm 18th in line AGAIN. I think that must be my new lucky number. We each get one (their limit) and in the colors we want. The white ones are going to our friends now for their boys.

This may seem like a weird way to help find these critters, but wiialerts.com will notify you when a store has them in stock online. I used them to find a wii last year and they've never spammed my email address, and were very helpful in finding that darn thing when it was so exclusive. They seem to have branched out into other HTF items, including toys. It might be worth a shot.

DS decided he doesnt want Zhu zhu's anymore . I never found the hamsters anyway so it's for the best I guess. I am either going to sell the accessories I bought or return the items to the store. Are we allowed to post on here if we have something to sell? I have the spiral slide, car with garage, giant funhouse, and orange bed/blanket. I hope it's okay to ask this question.......

What type of clothes do they have for the hamsters? I didn't think any of the clothes were out yet? My sister has everything for my niece except the ball and the pink hamster (have others, just waiting to see if the pink one will make it out before christmas). Has anyone else seen clothes, if so what types?

Thanks! I wasnt sure, but I had a feeling so that's why I didn't just post a "For Sale" thread. I can easily return everything to the store, I taped all the receipts to the boxes just in case. Of course each piece was at a different store

On the 12th, someone posted a link on this thread to pre-order it from the TRU website. I was able to snag one before they disappeared! I also was able to get 2 hamsters from TRU online...keeping my fingers crossed that they actually ship

The hunt for these things is crazy, lol
