OMG... this is so not right (The Office related)!!!

Do you think that they're setting up the new receptionist to not be liked by us? My old boss' secretary would always have to ask for permission to do anything. Even things as urbane as setting candy out for the office to enjoy. It really turned us against her because she was such a kiss ... She would even get my boss coffee every day at 3:00. If she was helping one of the other managers and we were making progress on something, she'd excuse herself to get him coffee.

While that's the kind of loyalty you want in an assistant, it isn't the kind of quality you want in a coworker.

I just watched the episode on-line. It was soooo funny.

I loved when Michae said, "I don't need Pam, I have plenty of female friends. My mom, Pam's mom, my Aunt.....although she blocked me form IM, and the lady from Quiznos...I see her at least four times a week."

And when Dwight kept correcting everyone who kept saying "duck." Mallard.

I had a paper mallard with a listening device drawn on the bottom sitting on my desk when I got in to work yesterday morning. I laughingly "accused" the wrong co-worker and now I have no idea who gave it to me. The mallard is making its way around my building. Half of the people are not Office fans and have no idea what to think about it. LOL!

How funny!

What did everyone think of tonight's episode? I felt really bad for Michael and Andy-they are annoying but pitiful. I also didn't like seeing Jim let Michael fall into the koi pond-seemed kind of jerky.
I loved the "scarehouse" in the beginning, though-Daryl's ideas of what all the costumes were and Michael's JT you know what in a box.

Oh little soybean, I hear ya.

The Halloween party was too fast, would have loved to see more. Bookface.

Erin & Pam: "Andy's great isn't he, sort of like Marlon Brando." "Marlon? Oh Marlon Wayans, yea."

Michael: "Meredith, write it on the board & nobody look, no one will know you wrote it."

Have you guys been watching Community???

It is so hilarious! We usually record both the Office and Community, but last night we made the mistake of watching Community first -- and found that Office was a bit of a let down.

So if you haven't checked it out yet, try it! It is one of the funniest shows I've seen. With Chevy Chase, how could it not be funny?

I couldn't get into Community. We tried and I had such high hopes with Chevy Chase being in there but it just wasn't working for us. However, has anyone checked Modern Family? We are loving that one!! :rotfl2:

The Office last night was hysterical, as usual. ;) So, Erin likes Andy? Oh this is going to be good. :rotfl:

I can't believe Michael in the beginning, hanging himself and trying to make it a life lesson on committing suicide. :headache: He always takes things a few steps to far.

Could everyone tell who was in what costume? Was that Erin as Fiona from Shrek?

Yes, that was Erin.

I love Creed as a vampire... didn't he say, "I vant to sell your blood?" That would be more like Creed than him wanting to drink it.

I am glad that my kids are old enough for me to explain bleep in a box to them. That was such a funny skit on SNL. Earlier this week, when we saw the previews, my DS wanted to go to school with a box at his waist. I told him I didn't want a call from the principal, so I didn't think he should do that. He decided to go as a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon with scrubs and sunglasses. Unfortunately, there is a viral rash going around and he came home with it yesterday, so no school for him today... and sadly, he can't help a neighbor with his haunted house tonight.

Anyway, I love Jim's costumes. Last year, he just wore a nametag with My Name is... (I can't remember). That gave my DS the idea to go as Edward Cullen. He used his sister's sparkly lotion on his arms and face and wore a nametag in case someone didn't know who he was.

I loved everyone giving it back to Michael last night. One of my former bosses was just like him. He could dish it out better than anyone, but he didn't like to be the brunt of any jokes and made anyone who made him the center of a joke or prank pay for it. Yeah, he was a jerk.

Ooooh yes, I'm SUCH a fan of Community. It's a lot like the Office without trying to be like the Office. I think Parks and Rec tries too much to be like the office and just fails. Community is SO fast and witty. Pierce (Chevy) on the bad trip last night...OMG. And Batman! I can never decide which character is my favorite. I hope that show is around for a long time. How are the ratings, is there anyway to know? I'm routing for them.

I noticed another thread for Modern Family which I like ok, but I like the Patricia Heaton show "The Middle" better. The poor daughter, always excited to try out for something and always failing & the parents know she'll fail. And the son who repeats words to himself. :rotfl:

I couldn't get into tonight's show. After so many good weeks, the show was bound to have a dud.

So, Andy and Erin are the new Jim and Pam with the secret love thing going on. I like how they transitioned this storyline.

Yea, since the Office was such a dud last night, does anyone want to talk about Community?? I know, I know, inappropriate of me to change the subject, but Community is my new favorite show. The dialog is faster and funnier than even the Office has been.

I was over-the-top annoyed with Michael on tonight's show. At first. There is a line where his character can cross into unrealistically ridiculous and I hate when they cross it. This show is the funniest when it's just a little more realistic. But then when he kind of snapped and explained himself to Jim, it was actually quite touching. Pam in the end was hilarious.

Best scene, as always, involved Creed. When Michael told him that "there's been a murder" and they were looking for suspects and they then show Creed running for his car and racing off! I wish they'd do more with him, he's so funny. But that's also the appeal of that character - that he makes one brief contribution to each episode and it's hilarious.

I liked when Michael told Cree they were investigating a murder, he got in his car and sped away!:lmao:
