OMG... this is so not right (The Office related)!!!

I agree. I do find other parts of the show funny (even though I don't find Dwight funny at all anymore) but I don't think it can really go for very long without him.

As much as I've loved this show, I really hope they just end it once Steve leaves. But given all the trouble NBC has been having, I can see them not wanting to give up one of their better rated shows easily.

This last season wasn't great and I hate to see it slide much more. :sad1:

I read about that last month. I was so bummed, but at least we have one more season. I don't think the show can carry on without him.

I have a feeling they will try though. The Office does great in the ratings and is a cash cow. I'm sure the ratings will suffer with out Michael, but they will strangle out the last penny before canceling. :rotfl:

There are some great character, but are they enough to sustain the show? Maybe we will actually have the chance to see more of Creed and the others?

I have a feeling that the day Michael leaves will be the day they jumped the shark.

First off, was Creed really playing the guitar in the opening sequence? I know he used to play in a band back in the 60's. What was their name? They had a couple hit songs.

What the heck is that weird corporate guy Gabe doing with Erin? Why is she not with Andy? I liked them together. They were both so innocent.

Wow, Luke. :sad2: Please tell me that he is not a representation of what our entitlement society is creating. Please. :scared1:

I teach high school.

DH asked if that's how kids are. It is how they are, but I'd like to think that in a place of business with nothing but adults around that they wouldn't act quite like an idiot like that. I would tease them relentlessly if I caught any of mine acting like that in a place of business.

But don't you wish you could spank the pants off of them sometimes?

I thought it was pretty funny and want a wand like Micheal had. The thing that bugs me and always has though is Jenna Fischer's horrible fake laugh. I commented on it last night and thought it was funny that it cause one of the show's problems!:rotfl2:

I haven't had a chance to see it yet. This weekend for sure. I'll post back with my thoughts!

I thought it was pretty funny. I will miss Michael next season. I hope this season is better than last.

I thought I'd give our Office thread a little bump given that we're a few weeks in with the new boss. What does everyone think?

I was pretty bored with the show all last season - it had lost its edge. But I just love Andy as the new boss. The show is different, I will say that. But I think it's sweet. Has some real heart. I don't think it will ever be the edgy-funny that it was originally, but it's funnier than it's been in the last season or 2.

Honestly, I stopped watching after Michael left. :( I absolutely cannot stand James Spader. He makes my skin crawl!

I'm loving it. I thought I'd hate it, but I'm loving it so far. Last week's Garden Party episode had me rolling! And it was nice to see the relationship between Andy and his father (played wonderfully by Stephen Collins!). It explained a lot about why Andy is the way he is.

Fair enough! :rotfl:

He's supposed to be such a good guy, so far (unless I missed something). I wonder if they have other plans for his character (since he is not usually cast as a good guy)

Last night's tattoo incident left me with the biggest, dumbest grin, right there in my living room!

It was a repeat last night for some reason. Maybe the game?

I miss Steve Carrell but I've decided that Ed Helms is simply brilliant. I wish that they'd brought in someone besides James Spader though.

I agree that last season wasn't the best. I stopped watching the show for awhile. Now I'm loving this season! I thought The Office would sink without Steve, but the episodes so far have been very well written and very, very funny! I do miss Michael, but love Andy in his new role as boss.:thumbsup2

Next week is the Halloween episode and the previews look like it'll be another good show.

You know what it is? They are not trying to make Andy BE like Michael. Had they brought in an entirely new actor and tried to replicate Michael, it would have flopped. But Andy is an established character. We know who he is and we're watching him be funny, sad, or sweet in his new role, in his own way. It's almost like a new show.

Sigh........ and that's a wrap. What did we think of the finale??

I loved it! It hasn't been that funny in a couple of years. It was definitely time for the show to end. I loved how they wrapped it up.
