OMG! Parent teacher night! WOW!

I was a little worried about my DD teacher, she has been teaching 53 years! WOW! What a lady! I feel like we are so lucky our DD got in her class! This is 3rd grade but the activities and projects she has planned or started are amazing! They already started to take apart a vacuum cleaner. They will be creating a small country with money, bank, bills etc....I have heard wonderful things about her but couldn't imagine someone her age and years of teaching to have this much energry to keep up with a class full of 3rd graders! This is going to be a fun year! Hard year LOL! She is big into math! UGH! for me and homework!

I love teachers who are so much fun and do such interesting things to help children learn. I still remember my 5th grade teacher and how we made the Earth out of different flavored ice cream. Your daughter has a fun year ahead of her!

She has been doing this a long time and has a wealth of experience and now your child reaps the benefits! Wow! It is so wonderful when your child gets a great teacher, it makes for a great year. We are fortunate that we have a pretty great teacher for DS who is in 3rd grade as well.

We were lucky to have a teacher like that for two yrs , It does make a big difference in a child , they love going to school . I wish more teacher were like that.

Yeah, I love it when my kids have that kind of teacher. Make sure you let people know how much you like her.

Wow. So she's, like, 73 years old or older? Is it a private school? Sounds like a great teacher!

She has to be at least that old. She also has a masters degree! so she could be older!
