................. OR EVEN JULY!!!!

Missed out on our August trip this year so really hoping to go back next year for 3 weeks.

BA have released their fares for the 25th July through to early August at £800or thereabouts for economy and Virgin are looking to be well over that figure if coming home on the 2nd is anything to go by. :scared1:

Have 104,000 flying miles between us so may seriously consider indirect via New York ........... Does anybody have any experience of this and if so did you stay overnight and do you have any fairly inexpensive hotel suggestions?

Also keeping an eye out for codeshare flights!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on Wayne get on it :rotfl:

Im looking too, booked ba as soon as the dates came out this year but they are a lot more expensive for next year, we want to go roughly 10th to 24th August:sad1:

Cant remember exactly what we paid this year but im sure SSR has gone up too

Continental fly to Newark and then on to MCO with no overnight. Unless you specifically wanted an overnight, in which case you will have to wait for the New York buffs to get on here. :)

Hi there, hoping to get two reward flights and pay for the kids with Virgin to New York, 2 nights in NY, then internals to MCO

What is a codeshare flight and how do we find these.

Codeshare is where you buy a seat with one airline but actually fly on another airlines plane. For example we have just been on a Delta flight but I bought a KLM ticket, it saved me approx £600pp compared to buying a Delta ticket.

Continental have a codeshare agreement with Virgin, so you can buy thru Continental.com(or other agents) but when it shows the flights available it will say something like "Continental flight 9695 operated by Virgin Atlantic Airways" Sometimes a cheaper way but not always, I just checked for next July and they were a few £ dearer for dates I checked.

Still hoping that Aer Lingus prices will be uploaded onto their website for next summer - still only going up to March

This is a new one on me, do they fly from Manchester to Ireland and then you change plane. There was a chap in our hotel who was flying home with them, they had changed his flight and he had a 10 hour stop over, but he did say they were cheap. Off to have a look at Aer Lingus website for more info.

They have some great prices in Feb/March 2011 - Man via Dublin but havent seen anything for summer yet.

We had BA change our flight this year to LAX and we had a 24 hour stopover at Heathrow:mad: so I suppose it can happen to all airlines - it was the same flight number as Posh Spice when hers was turned back over the Atlantic recently except our experience was the month before (same reasons). Wouldnt be so keen for it to happen to us again though - lightning doesnt strike twice does it??

Eeeeek!! This doesn't sound good :(

If all goes to plan, I'll be looking for a flight to arrive in Orlando in mid-June, and to leave towards the end of August. Not looking forward to searching for that one... :sad2:

Wow that's a long stay- I would love to be faced with that 'dilemma' - are you working there? Can I come with you?

We have never been in August before so expensive flights are new to us... May/June is normally when we go and we pay about £1100 for 2 adults and 1 D/D...

So would £2000 be a fair price or am i dreamland for Aug 2011 ???

Prices I have seen so far would suggest you might struggle to get indirect under £2000, direct are showing around £2,500:sad1:

Wow! I'm kinda glad I'm not looking for next year!
Hopefully maybe something will have given by the time I can next go!

Budget is really about £2000 on flights...:confused3

Still a little early yet, Most companies have only released dates upto around the 9th August (return date) only BA go upto end of August.

If there are any deals around I or others will post on the boards but keep checking a few sites, travelsupermarket, Kayak, Orbitz and any others you get time to check. Good luck.
