After our early morning breakfast fun, we headed over to MK just to ride the Haunted Mansion. This was the first time I had ever just gone to MK and just walked over to the ride I wanted to ride and then walked right back out to catch the monorail to EPCOT. That was cool, and so much fun! This was also our very first run-in with the Brazilians that were over-running the parks that weekend. Thank god they were at MK and not EPCOT.![]()
Le Cellier. This was the very first time we had been here. We have been told by all of our friends that this was one we had to go to, no matter what. So we did...and it was good.
J had the infamous cheese soup and she liked it a lot. I had a taste of it, and it was okay...I am just not a fan of cheesy soups at all, I think I am the only person in the world who hates cheese soups. Since I don't have a picture, I was probably thinking...been there, seen that. We have all seen THE bowl of soup from here. No need to waste space with yet another one.
I had the tomato stack, of which I had been salivating over for weeks. This was actually my very first taste of yuzu anything, and ooohhhh...it was good. I think all other appetizers at this restaurant don't get tried as much because of the reputation of the soup. I was happy with this appetizer. It was fresh and tasty. The tomato was perfectly ripe, as was the watercress on top. The amount of basalmic was perfect with the vinaigrette. Overall, I loved this, and I would definitely have it again. Sorry for the horrible picture, but I didn't want to flash the camera in this dark restaurant and blind everyone.

J had the burger and fries. Her standard when she wants something "light". It wasn't anything special to me. She liked it, but then again, she likes any kind of burger with cheddar cheese on it. The homemade ketchup was good though.

I tried something really light. I just couldn't tackle a whole steak, even though I really wanted to, but I was really saving it up for dinner which had to be changed to an earlier time, and I couldn't change this reservation. Kind of sucked, but there was so much confusion with the parks changing their times and whatnots. I had the mushroom ravioli. This was okay. Needed salt something fierce, and while I love mushrooms, this was a bit too much for me. I liked it, but it will be a while before I have that many mushrooms in one dish. But it was light, and that was what I wanted without getting a salad.

J didn't really want dessert because there was nothing on the menu she would even try. I talked her into trying the sugar free sorbet (I think it was raspberry). It was really good. I liked it, and she ended up eating half of it, so there ya go.![]()

I had the apple-rhubarb crumble...so super-de-duper tasty it was. I hadn't had a apple-rhubarb pie this good since I lived in Michigan (near Canada as a matter of fact). The crumble was as good as it could be and not dry. I am not a fan of maple, but it was a really light maple flavor ice cream, and oh so good. This was my favorite dessert of the entire trip. Worth the try if you want something just a little different that doesn't have chocolate in it.

Overall, we loved it here. We liked that you got little bits of trivia when sat down by the seater and the waiter. We got to sit in Ontario, which I have been to numerous times living so close to it, so it was nice to actually talk to the waitress and she was surprised I knew where she was from. We will definitely go back. Le Cellier lived up to the hype. Now to go for dinner and actually eat a steak.

Le Cellier's my favorite-you must try the steak next time!
Can't wait to hear about the Brown Derby. My DH has wanted to try eating there for a while now, so I am anxiuos to hear how it was. Thanks for the reviews!!!!![]()
The cheese plate from Rose and Crown looks divine!!
Your reviews are fantastic as well as your photos!
Great reviews! Thank you so much for taking the time to write them for us!
Everything seems so very tempting! So maybe I should try something new at Le Cellier too and maybe, just maybe we should give Rose and Crown a second try - they failed to impress the first time around!
I loved the mustard sauce and I actually used some of the bread to soak it up it was that good. Now I know you aren't supposed to do that, but how can you not when the sauce just lends itself to being sopped up?

Tonight, our fabulous food festivities bring us to the Hollywood Brown Derby at the Disney Hollywood Studios. After changing this reservation twice because the park changed hours. Yes...I actually received a phone call from Disney Dining and was asked to change my reservation time to an hour and a half earlier than I originally asked for. This was not the only one this happened with either. It seems Hollywood Studios and Disney Dining had some confusion with all of the hour changes in January. Kind of sucked, but since I was not in the mood to ruin my stress-free trip, I just went with it.
We arrived at 6:30 and only had to wait a couple of minutes before we were seated. We liked the restaurant itself, and we could only imagine what it would have been like to eat there in Hollywood itself. We were seated on the upper level, so we could see everything as we ate dinner. It was great ambiance. And now...the food! Tada!
J hated every single thing on the appetizer menu, so the server checked with the back to see if she could get one of the kid's salads instead. They hooked her up with this monstronsity. I think she only ended up eating maybe one third of it. She said it was just okay. I mean, what do you expect from a salad?

I, started off with the Wine Flight of the Stars. It was very interesting reading about the vineyards of Fred MacMurray and Fess Parker. They were all very good wines. I liked the Pinot Gris the absolute best. It was very light and bright and paired well with my appetizer, which was the crab cake. The Chardonnay was okay, not one of my favorite wines to begin with, but I drank it all anyway. I loved the Marilyn Merlot, and I am not normally a fan of Merlot because it has too much aftertaste. If wine tastings are your thing, then really give this a try. It is totally worth it.

Onto my appetizer. I had the crab cake and holy smokes it was super tasty. I will eat just about any kind of crab cake, but this one was absolutely fabulous. I loved the mustard sauce and I actually used some of the bread to soak it up it was that good. Now I know you aren't supposed to do that, but how can you not when the sauce just lends itself to being sopped up?

I had the grouper with citrus sauce. I can't even begin to desribe how good this was. I am a true sucker for fried capers, and this definitely had a lot of those, so I was in heaven. I couldn't help but finish every single morsel of this delicious dish. It was light, the fish was perfectly cooked, and it was really what I wanted without really knowing it was what I wanted. If that makes ANY sense at all.

And onto the dessert portion of our show.
J had the cheesecake. It was okay. The crust was good though. The cake part itself was a little dry, but not completely inedible. J didn't like the sauce and was very grateful she got it on the side as it would have ruined the whole dish. I thought it was good and tart, yet sweet.

I had the infamous grapefruit cake. It was perfect in every way. It was moist (and while I have read every single review of this cake recently, it was nothing like everyone said it was) and tangy. Yeah, it was a lot of grapefruit, and if you don't like the overpowering taste of it, no matter how small the amount, then please don't even attempt to taste this dessert. It had grapefruit sauce, grapefruit cake, grapefruit icing, and dried grapefruit on top. Everything about it emanated grapefruit.

We truly loved our dinner here and we would love to go back again. Our server was perfect, even when she forgot to refill my water twice. She was accomodating, and very pleasant, and made the experience here very worthwhile. There are so many things on the menu that we both would like to try at least once, and I really hope we get to do so. While I don't think it is worth the 2 TS credits, it was good.
