OMG!! Awesome News for New Escape Brides about the cakes!!!

Good new choices!! I'm glad they have the Mickey head one!! I only wish they'd have added a 2 tier mad hatter style.

I wonder if these choices are for DCL also???

I think I'm going to stick with my original idea... white fondant, two grosgrain or sating ribbons around base of each cake with flowers matching my bouquet on the top.

Well, I think its great that they are acknowledging Escape brides' desire to personalize their weddings and have a choice of cake style

As for my opinion of the designs... if I were doing an Escape wedding, I'd pay for an upgrade to have them do a cake based on my own design. But then I'm not really a fan of anything in the huge Wishes wedding cake catalog either!

Stupid question, but are these official, meaning they are allowing Escape Brides to choose these now? My Escape WC said she would send out an email when it was official and I haven't received anything. Just wondering!!

I thought I would share this with you because you had asked me a while back. The cake photos have been released and I have attached the photos.

Your cake choice is one of our options (minus the little white flowers which is what the upgrade charge covers).

Please let me know if you decide to change your cake!

I am pretty sure the options are available July 1 or somewhere around there. Our wedding is on the fourth and our planner said they would apply to us.

I got an official email from my planner today sending me an attachment with a list of the cakes and fillings, plus all the new looks! They're nice and I really like them, but I don't know what I will choose yet

Okay, we took a look last night (still didn't get the "official" e-mail from my planner though) and have decided on the roses and drapes one with the pink roses. We know we are going to do the bavarian cream but haven't decided which cake: chocolate (my pick, but BF thinks it may be too rich for others), marble (probably) or yellow.

Also, does anyone know if the bavarian cream is like the bavarian cream that is in dunkin donuts? That is what we are hoping for

I also wanted to let my fellow Escape brides know I just received another email from my WC. She said since the design I chose from my wedding cake is actually one you can pick from now (mickey delight), the additional gum paste flowers I'm having added are only $25 extra, just in case anyone else wants to add the gum paste flowers.

Now I'm having a Wishes VR, but when we were in WDW for our PS, the Bavarian Mousse was one of our favorite filling flavors! It is rich and creamy, but not over the top. Our favorite combo was the almond cake with the amaretto mousse. But almond cake with bavarian cream was a close second!
