She is Tina Lord's daughter. Her name is either Tina Lords or Tina Roberts b/c she was married to Cord. I can't remember which one was her last name when she left the show.

Yes she is a recast. The older sara was on it 2003-2004 ( I didnt realise it was that long ago!) and this one has only been on since June 14th!

Was anyone else dissatisfied with yesterday's funeral? I'd thought that Phil Carey had actually died and that was the reason for it, but all I could find was that there was some sort of contract dispute. Somehow it just seems in very poor taste to kill off a man who is struggling with lung cancer.

I am watching Asa's funeral show this morning on SoapNetwork. I think it was well done but in poor taste considering the actor's real life heath.

I didnt watch OLTL for a few yrs and have a question about where a couple of the character's fit in. Why is Max so important to Renee? I remember something about him being Renee and Asa's son but that was proven false??
Is Joey becoming a priest?

I am hoping that they conclude the Spencer storyline soon. It is getting boring. I had not thought about Paige killing Spencer, but I bet that is what will unfold. I think Spencer knew something about who their son is. I dont think it was the character that died a few yrs ago. I think it will come out that Rex could be her son. I think there is something else coming out about his character, tying him to the main characters of the show.

Ahhh i agree that the funeral was in poor taste due to the actors true health, but it was still a trear jerker! I could not stop crying!! It was wierd!!

That's pretty much how I felt about it. I was in tears watching it. (I loved Phil Carey & remember watching him ride into Llanview hootin' & hollerin' way back when. ) I thought it was well done - UNTIL there was no flash on the screen of a tribute to the actor like you usually see. That's when I went to look it up online. If there was a contract dispute they should have just left him "in the wings" of the house like he's been for months anyway!

I've watched off & on for years but I can't really remember what happened with Max & Renee. I think they were just exceptionally close while they thought he was Asa's son and that just continued.

Joey was becoming a priest but the actor who was playing him at that point was pretty awful & I think I read that TPTB sent him off for acting lessons and that was why Joey was in London. However, I haven't heard anything about that changing and was surprised to see this "old" Joey appear yesterday. The blurb on the SOAPnet site says: "He also prayed his way through a sinfully brief career stint as a priest. FYI, Nathan Fillion is the most popular star ever to play Joey. "

And yes, I'm sick to death of the Spencer storyline too! I'd read a long time ago that Paige was supposed to have killed him off, but then nothing... Paige was supposed to leave town a long time ago & then it looked like they'd changed their minds until last week. I hadn't been watching recently & was shocked to see John acting like he thought Marcie had killed Spencer. (I never did figure out WHY he thought that though!)

When they were looking for Paige's son I was hoping it would turn out to be Rex & was disappointed that he wasn't. I hadn't given up hope of Rex becoming Bo's "son" (by Bo's marriage to Paige) but with her gone & maybe having killed Spencer... ...well, I just don't see that happening now, but the Rex/Bo thing works the way it is. I hadn't heard anything else about him being tied to any of the main characters...what have you heard?

I havent really heard anything recently about Rex being tied to the main characters. What I did read was several months ago hen there was speculation about who Paige and Spencer's son was.
It was good to see some of the old characters. I always really liked Cord's character. I would love to see some of the old timers return and revise their rolls. The new storylines both on OLTL and GH have been boring lately.

I would really like to see Kevin and Joey back! But I don't know what kind of story they could give them. With that being said, did you see the phone conversation Joey had today (or yesterday)? It sounds like there may be something there.

I couldn't agree more!! Every time he's been on-screen during this custody battle I've wanted to take a 2x4 to the TV screen! LOL

And I always liked Marci - but for the past few days I haven't liked her much either! Yeah, yeah...Michael didn't tell her. Get over it. And why is she suddenly calling him Mike?!?

Today Dorian confronted her about it. Her parents are dead...killed in Vietnam - car accident I think. The award they "got" was given posthumously. Evidently they've been dead for 18 months!

I read rumors that Sarah Roberts is coming back, as well as the old Marty!

Marcie is taking Tommy and going on the run. She'll assume a new identity.

Adrianna will be killed off, but not sure when or how.

I'll admit I was only half listening to that explanation - since I knew it would be crazy. Langston said she still had some money left from when they'd left and then there was the insurance settlement. Yeah - NO ONE bothered to check on her from oh say, the relief organization or the bank?!? And there are ALWAYS forms to be signed for school...surely someone would have noticed that the signature had changed somewhat.

ChrisnSteph - Do you mean the actress who played Sarah Roberts in the past? Because the character Sarah/Flash has been back for some time.

I haven't seen any spoilers...they're really going to kill off Adriana? I've enjoyed her character. That makes me sad. And I'm not sure I'll like seeing John with the old Marty actress. She seems too old - from the way she looked last time she was on.

I don't even really like Michael and Marcie but I'm really hating Todd in this.

I know the current Marty has been let go. I can do w/out Marty but I really do hope if they have one, it is the other actress. I can't stand Marty and John.

I'm intrigued by the Langston thing and Natalie and Jared. I also sorta like Talia and Antonio and I usually don't like him! Maybe it was Jessica? I liked Nash and Tess but now FF Nash and Jessica.

Sarah has been back a while ... is the old actress coming back? The new one is growing on me.

Both Todd and Blair were wonderfully complex and damaged characters. Neither was ever really 'nice' but you got why they were so messed up. Now they both get on my nerves. Blair is only tolerable with Starr, otherwise she has become totally one-note. KDP needs to stop showing Blair's 'passion' by yelling all the time! Todd is just a total joke. He is immature and obnoxious about everything. He is constantly yelling too.

I feel like I'm such a weird soap viewer. I'll read SZ to get caught up and my opinions on the show are always so opposite of the norm there.
