Is it necessary to make ADR's at Olivia's? We will be there the second week of January??

I have never been to Olivias and the reviews I have seen are very good. That being said, it seems like an undiscovered kind of restaurant that during slow periods (January being one of them), you would not need a res. I may be mistaken, but it seems to be a place more known by those who stay at Old Key West or restuarant nerds (like many of us here are) rather than those who visit Disney in general. Before I discovered the DisBoards and AllEars.net, I probably never would have taken notice of Olivia's unless I was staying at OKW.

If you go, pls report back! Have a wonderful vacation - we are 2 weeks behind you!

I've been twice, during a late February OKW stay, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times, the place was less than half-full.

It always pays to call ahead when you decide you want to go, even just 15 minutes before, just in case. But, I wouldn't sweat it much.

Even when we stay at OKW, we don't necessarily go there often. We might just as soon order in and eat in the villa, or we might take the boat to DTD for dinner.

We just got back. Dinner there was full.....breakfast pretty much empty.
I think we had 6:00 dinner ADRS and 8:00 breakfast.
It was very good.
We are going back in Jan. and have dinner and breakfast ADRs again :)

I would, better safe instead of sorry....we ate at Olivia's for breakfast in March and it was amazing! We tried to get in for dinner a few nights but they were sold out

I have always made ADR and never needed them. I do agree the food is very good. DH misses the fried chicken though. It was an extra special treat because I never make it at home.

I would say it's not necessary. We ended up there on the Saturday night of our last trip (in which all other restaurants seemed to be booked) and they sat us immediately without an ADR. The food was great - and this one is on our list for next time too! Have a great time!

We ate at Olivia's three times last June and although we always had an ADR, we never needed it. And I think all three of those times we changed our ADR sort of last minute. We absolutely love it there, the atmosphere is very friendly, the food is outstanding and the service was wonderful. Try the Caribbean BBQ Grouper, it was so good, I had that twice and told my husband if he tried to take a bite he was in big trouble! Dh always had the steak and it was also excellent.
