DH and I were wanting a last minute dinner and decided to go to Olivia's at OKW.
We were walk ups. The place was maybe 1/4 of the way full, and we were seated right away.
DH was running the ToT 13k at 9:00 that night. He wanted to eat. But not get overstuffed either.

He drank a coke. I had unsweet ice tea.

We were served a very good, and warm, coconut bread.

DH ordered:
Crab Cakes with tossed greens and Key Lime mustard sauce
Olivia's Potatoes

He recalled their crab cakes being small. And they are. (He received three.) And that was all he wanted. He said they were very good.

I could tell he was still hungry through, even after eating his potatoes.

I ordered:
Pork Chop glazed with Myers's Dark Rum and served with mashed sweet potatoes.
And you should have seen DH's eye pop. He wanted that so bad I think. :rotfl2: I would not be surprised if he ordered that next time. (Although I think I ordered it last time too. He must have been extra hungry last night.)
He commented that is the way a chop should look and that it doesn't get any better than that.
The pork chop was a good chunk of meat with no fat whatsoever.
I don't know my meat cuts, but it is the type of big, thick pork chop that has the round chunk of meat, and then an oblong bone sticking from one end that has a little meat on it.
DH knawed on the bone. :lmao:
My sweet potato mash was VERY good. Sweet, but not overly sweet where you can't taste the potato flavor. There really was not much of that.
In addition it came with some slightly cooked spinach with some cut up tomtoes. I ate some of the spinach. It was good. But sure wish they had not worried about color and forgone the spinach for more potatoes. :rotfl:

All in all very good service and food -- and a walk up to boot. :thumbsup2
The servings were probably more on the small side, except for my pork chop. Even the side of potatoes DH ordered were a fair portion. But certainly not generous by any stretch, (More like a large scoop.) And my sweet potatoe was not even what I would call a generous serving. More like an ice cream scoop size of potatoes -- if even that.

By the time we were leaving large parties were coming in and the place was starting to fill up.
We did notice that most tables were of family groups, as what one would expect to see more of at a a DVC resort.
The grounds are beautiful. We had a window seat and it was very relaxing. For most of the meal we had the room to ourselves. (Kind of a back porch theme type area.) Our timing was perfect as it was drizzling rain outside only during our meal.

Thanks for the review! My friends and I will be eating there 6 weeks from today!:goodvibes

Thanks for the review!

BTW, it sounds like the cut of meat you received was a double center-cut pork loin chop. The butcher or kitchen prepares it by cutting 2 ribs of meat from a center-cut pork loin. Then, they cut out 1 rib bone, leaving a very thick pork chop behind.
