so Im at Walgreens earlier and "Faithfully" By Journey came on. the Cashier said " Oh I love this song!" I said "me to but it brings back a few to many Jr High dance memories for me" she says " hmmm I dont know... Ive always loved the oldies"

:earseek:

:yo-yo:

what was the song, anything I could relate to? :D

ouch!!:scared: :scared: :scared: That hurt!

You and I must be about the same age binny. Brings back many a school-dance-in-the-gym memory for me too!

Journey was a big part of my High School Soundtrack! I ran out of a school dance crying when "Faithfully" was played because I had just found out that afternoon that Chris Roth didn't like me back!!!  :teeth:

Journey was my favorite group back in the '80's. My boyfriend at the time bought me tickets for their concert at the Meadowlands two nights in a row.

I was a young teenager when Journey was so popular but I have ALWAYS ALWAYS LOVED THEM!!!!!!

I remember a boy who liked me playing Faithfully every night to me.

well at least were all in the same boat I guess :) lol

Ill go, if Im in good company ')

Heavens, I don't think of anything by Journey as being old. Oldies to me are the Beatles, Elvis and anything from the 50's or 60's.

I graduated in 1986 and I loved that song! And Air Supply and Asia and REO Speedwagon.... anyone remember these guys?

Oh yeah! Love them all.. would rather listen to that than almost anything else. :)

I totally agree. I would rather listen to music from 1976-1979 anytime!! Loved those disco sappy songs of the late 70s. I had every Ronco and K-Tell record. I was 8 years old but still love that music!!!

You know it's all over when they start calling you "Ma'am" :earseek:

As for songs from the 80's being called "oldies"

LOL, Cookie! I was out of high school a few years and dating someone when Faithfully was around. :earseek:

Too Funny! The first song DH and I ever danced to was "Open Arms" by Journey. I was a Junior in High School at the time!

It makes me feel old when radio stations that used to play "Hits of the 60's and 70's" now plays "hits of the 70's and 80's."

Oops...I'm 27 (which isn't that young) but I think I still might think of that as at least a semi-oldie.
