OLD THREAD: 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 2- May, June and July DON'T POST HERE!

speaking of lobster...the place we went yesterday gave us a buzzer to let us know when the food would be ready. Here is a picture of it:

That does sound like a fantastic b-day!!
I had my first lobster roll of the summer last week. Summer is going by way to fast!

I might have a lobster roll tomorrow since I'm heading back towards the Cape to visit my parents tomorrow and I was thinking I might go to the clam shack near them for a lobster roll.

Haha. Too cute!!

We will be at YC Dec 10 through 20. Does anyone know what time the usually have the campfire in December? Does anyone have a copy of the December activities from last year to get an idea of what may be going on at the resort? Thanks

Wait...is it a roll again? Or still the sliders? Whatever they call it, there will probably be lobster on the plate in front of me.

I did have some lobster for my birthday yesterday too. Lobster and a salted caramel cupcake. Does it get any better?

Happy Birthday!!!

So, what did you end up doing, and how was it? Weather wasn't the best ever, but we didn't actually get downpours or thunderstorms here.

Looks like the campfire was at 5:30 PM

Also, Teena provided us with the December Yacht & Beach Club Lobby activities schedule. Here is the link to that:

I don't think I asked this already here...my youngest will be 16months old when we're there in September. She sleeps in a crib at home and on a cot for nap time at daycare. Really doesn't do well in a pack n play to sleep. Do they have regular cribs at BC? Would you suggest crib, rollaway bed, or our toddler air mattress from home? How best to get her comfortable with sleeping in a hotel? Our last overnight hotel stay was a disaster.

Do we have any old September 2011 schedules? Would love to see the regular goings on as I make our September plans!

Thank you!

We headed down towards the Cape, with a stop on the way for breakfast. Then we went for a walk along the Canal. Took a drive to Mashpee Commons for a little shopping, then drove over to Hyannis, back up to Sandwich. Stopped for an early dinner and then headed home. The weather was all over the place. No real rain, but a few drops here and there. Some sun, but mostly clouds. And it was pretty breezy down there. It was just nice and relaxing.

Here are pictures of the daybed made up as crib with a bed rail (anyone know, are these avail at the resort, or do you bring your own) and the crib that is available upon request:

I eventually intend to have the historical activities schedules available as a link in the Resort Activities post, but I am missing some from the past year.

October 2011, anyone???

Thank you!! Question... so will this pretty much be the same schedule for September 2012? Besides the movies of course??

I read that there are lockers available at SAB. Is there a fee? Where would I go to rent one? This will be our first trip to BC, previously we stayed at the Poly & the pool there is small, so it was easy to keep an eye on our stuff. But I know SAB is a large area & as much as I would like to believe that everyone who goes to Disney is kind & honest, not everyone is. So I'm concerned about where to put our phones, etc. Any information on the lockers would be appreciated.

And may I add Mayhem, the best run (and is not included on the map) is the walkway over HS and back. Not sure of the length, but many use it early in the morning.

I'll second that!! I took that walk every morning of my last visit, on the way back I would go around the lake. It's quiet and peacful (I'm a walker not a runner). I'll have to map the distance when I'm there this Nov.
Enjoy your trip!
Laurie

Thank you both...it's more for my sister, her LO is up early so they go running...although we'll see maybe she'll be sleeping late from all the fun. I'll see if I'm up for it, although I think last time even with all the walking I gained a few pounds from all the treats!!

We are booked into a standard room at the beach club in two weeks. What's my chances of a room with a full balcony and a day bed with a standard view? I'm most bothered about the day bed as the children don't like sharing. Thanks.

Check the SAB Pool Post, on Page 1. I think it is the second post. Pictures, too.

I believe that the lockers available free of charge and that you get the key from Poolside Gifts. There are also lockers (and showers) available at the health club.
